Apa Itu SISTEM INFORMASI
Sistem informasi adalah sekumpulan hardware, software, brainware,
prosedur dan atau aturan yang diorganisasikan secara integral untuk
mengolah data menjadi informasi yang bermanfaat guna
memecahkan masalah dan pengambilan keputusan. Sistem Informasi
adalah satu kesatuan data olahan yang terintegrasi dan saling
melengkapi yang menghasilkan output baik dalam bentuk gambar,
suara maupun tulisan. Sistem informasi adalah sekumpulan
komponen pembentuk sistem yang mempunyai keterkaitan antara
satu komponen dengan komponen lainnya yang bertujuan
menghasilkan suatu informasi dalam suatu bidang tertentu.

 APA TUJUAN SISTEM
INFORMASI?
• Tujuan sistem informasi yang pertama adalah untuk menyediakan informasi-
informasi tertentu dalam pengambilan keputusan. Keberadaan data dalam
sistem informasi akan sangat membantu dalam menyikapi suatu permasalahan.
• Tujuan lain sistem informasi adalah untuk mendukung proses operasional
harian. Dengan pencatatan berbagai rutinitas dalam sistem informasi, maka
semua aktivitas ini dapat diaudit lagi di masa yang akan datang ketika terjadi
suatu kesalahan atau penyelewengan.
• Tujuan sistem informasi dalam organisasi adalah untuk membantu organisasi
menemukan berbagai informasi tentang organisasi secara cepat menggunakan
teknologi mutakhir.
 Tipe Sistem
 Atas dasar keterbukaan:
1. Sistem terbuka, dimana pihak luar dapat
mempengaruhinya. Lebih spesifik dikenal juga yang
disebut dengan sistem terotomasi;yang merupakan
bagian dari sistem buatan manusia dan berinteraksi
dengan kontrol olehsatu atau lebih komputer sebagai
bagian dari sistem yang digunakan dalam
masyarakatn modern.
2. Sistem tertutup, sistem yang tidak berhubungan dan
tidak terpengaruh dengan sistem luarnya. Sistem ini
bekerja secara otomatis tanpa adanya turut campur
tangan dari pihak luarnya. Secara teoritis sistem
tersebut ada, tetapi kenyataannya tidak ada sistem
yang benar-benar tertutup, yang ada hanyalah
relatively closed system (secara relatif tertutup, tidak
benar-benar tertutup).
 Atas dasar komponen:
1. Sistem fisik, dengan komponen materi dan energi.
merupakan sistem yang ada secara fisik, sehingga setiap
makhluk dapat melihatnya (Sistem Komputer, Sistem
Akuntansi, Sistem Produksi dll.)
2. Sistem non-fisik atau konsep, sistem yang berupa pemikiran
atau ide- ide yang tidak tampak secara fisik (Sistem
Teologia yang merupakan suatu
╸sistem yang menggambarkan hubungan Tuhan
dengan Manusia)

 Sistem Dan Organisasi
╸Organisasi adalah struktur sosial resmi stabil yang
memiliki sumber-sumber berasal dari lingkungan dan
memproses sumber-sumber itu agar menghasilkan output.
╸ Definisi behavioral organisasi adalah kumpulan hak, hak
khusus, kewajiban, dan tanggung jawab yang harus
dengan cermat diseimbangkan selama periode waktu
tertentu melalui konflik dan resolusi konflik.
╸ Ada beberapa peranan penting sistem informasi dalam
organisasi, antara lain:
 Peningkatan produktivitas
 Pengurangan biaya
 Peningkatan pengambilan keputusan
 pengembangan aplikasi-aplikasi strategis
 mengaitkan perencanaan, pengerjaan, dan pengendalian
dalam organisasi
 mengkoordinasikan subsistem-subsistem dalam organisasi

atau yang dalam Bahasa Indonesia disebut juga Sistem
Informasi Berbasis Komputer merupakan sistem pengolah data
menjadi sebuah informasi yang berkualitas dan dipergunakan
untuk suatu alat bantu pengambilan keputusan. Beberapa
istilah yang terkait dengan CBIS yang akan dibahas pada
bagian ini antara lain adalah data, informasi, sistem, sistem
informasi dan “basis komputer” sebagai kata kuncinya.

berbasis komputer yang menghasilkan berbagai alternatif
keputusan untuk membantu manajemen dalam menangani
berbagai permasalahan yang terstruktur ataupun tidak terstruktur
dengan menggunakan data dan model

4. Office Automation
 contoh fungsi:Membantu kegiatan sekertariat dan karyawan
administrasi.
 Menaikkan produktifitas.
 Membantu memfasilitasi komunikasi formal dan informal atar
karyawan di dalam dan di luar organisasi.
