is also utilized for telling the modern stories for contemporary audiences.
Puppets fall into two major classifications - wayang kulit -
the leather or shadow puppet of Central Java, and wayang

I. Penilaian Hasil Pembelajaran

1. Sikap
- Penilaian Observasi
Penilaian observasi berdasarkan pengamatan sikap dan perilaku peserta didik
sehari-hari, baik terkait dalam proses pembelajaran maupun secara umum.
Pengamatan langsung dilakukan oleh guru. Berikut contoh instrumen penilaian
sikap

Aspek Perilaku yang Kode

Keterangan :
• BS : Bekerja Sama
• JJ : Jujur
• TJ : Tanggun Jawab
• DS : Disiplin

Catatan :
1. Aspek perilaku dinilai dengan kriteria:
100 = Sangat Baik
75 = Baik
50 = Cukup
25 = Kurang

2. Skor maksimal = jumlah sikap yang dinilai dikalikan jumlah kriteria = 100 x
4 = 400
3. Skor sikap = jumlah skor dibagi jumlah sikap yang dinilai = 275 : 4 = 68,75
4. Kode nilai / predikat :
75,01 – 100,00 = Sangat Baik (SB)
50,01 – 75,00 = Baik (B)

00,00 – 25,00 = Kurang (K)

format penilaiannya. Berikut Contoh format penilaian teman sebaya :

2. Handout
This handout contains several texts which include passive voice, the explanation and
examples about passive voice, and some exercises to check your comprehension about
passive voice.

I. The Texts that contain passive voice

The following text describes some traditional art products from Indonesia. In these texts
include some sentences written in passive forms. Read the following texts and identify active
and passive sentences.

Traditional Toy Game

The congklak, or dakon board game was brought to Indonesia by Indian or Arab traders
centuries ago. Made from plastic or wood, or highly carved by court artisans, this game has
been played in Indonesia for centuries. Examples of early congklak board can be found in
the National Museum. Traditional toys can be found throughout the archipelago and forays
into the provinces will undoubtedly turn up many simple toys made by villagers for their
children. These can be purchased at local market, roadside stands or near popular tourist
destinations.

Bangka Tin

Pewter items are made with tin from the island of Bangka. Favorites with expats are the
angels in varying sizes, candlesticks, picture frames, and Christmas tree ornaments.
Engravings of Bangka tin items are often presented by various expat groups to their members
in recognition of various achievements. Shops specializing in Bangka pewter items can be
found in Jakarta on Jl. Paletahan. These shops offer significant discounts. Displays of
Bangka tin items can also be found in the major arts and handicrafts centers in Jakarta and
in other popular tourist destinations.

II. Explanation of Passive Voice

The following handout explains what passive voice is, why we use passive voice, and how
to construct grammatically correct passive voice.
PASSIVE VOICE
A. What is passive voice?

The passive voice is the form of sentence which is often used in situations when the
person or thing doing the verb is unknown, unimportant or obvious. In these cases the
agent can be left out.

B. Why do we use the passive voice?

Look at the following sentence:
NASA launched its final shuttle flight in 2011.
S V2 O adv.

The above sentence is in the form of active sentence, where NASA as the subject does
the action and its final shuttle flight as object, receives the action. Sometimes we call
the subject as the agent and the object as the receiver.

So, we use passive voice when:

1. When the action (or the receiver) is more important than the agent
Look at the grammar of this sentence. How is it different?
The final shuttle flight was launched in 2011.
O V3 adv.

The object (the final shuttle flight) has moved to the beginning of the sentence, and
the agent (NASA) has disappeared. So one reason we use the passive voice is
because we are more interested in the action, or the receiver of the action, than
who or what did it. Here are some more examples of active and passive sentences.
The receiver of the action is in bold, to show you how it moves to the beginning of
the sentence to put emphasis on the action or the receiver of the action. Also, try to
notice how the agent can be left out.

Look at the following examples of passive voice which emphasize the action
(receiver) rather than the agent (doer).

 NASA sent its first reusable space shuttles into space in 1981.

The first reusable space shuttles were sent into space in 1981. (We are more
interested in the sending into space.)

 America launched its first space shuttle into orbit over 30 years ago.

The first space shuttle was launched into orbit over 30 years ago. (We are more
interested in the launching.)

 Space shuttle explosions killed 14 astronauts.

14 astronauts were killed in space shuttle explosions. (We are more interested
that they were killed.)

2. When the agent is unknown, unimportant or obvious

We also use passive sentences when the agent is

unimportant, unknown or obvious. We often leave the agent out of these
sentences.

 The bank robbers were arrested. (We do not need to say it was the police.)
 David's bike was stolen last week. (We don't know who did it.)
 Three survivors were found at the crash site. (It's not important who found them.)

For your information:

If we want to include the agent in a passive sentence, we do with the word by after
the verb: By + the agent
Examples:
 The final shuttle flight was launched by NASA in 2011.
 The robbers were arrested by Officer Smith.

To summarize

So, we use the passive voice for these reasons:

 We are more interested in the action than the agent (the person or thing who does the
action)
 We are more interested in the receiver than the agent
 The agent is not important, not known, or it's obvious

3. How to construct a grammatically correct passive sentence?

To make a grammatically correct passive sentence, we need to know the structure. The
structure will be different depending on the tenses used in active sentence. The most
important thing in making passive sentence is the use of past participle (V3). Study the
following table to see the structure of passive voice based on the tenses used.

Subject + to be + past + adverb/

(appropriate to be) participle complement

Simple present
Subject + to be + past + adverb/

Now, let’s look at the following examples to see how to change active sentence into
passive.
Nowadays, millions of people use internet.
Adv. S V1 O

To change to sentence into passive form, we need to put the object internet at the
beginning of the sentence. Since the active sentence is in the form of present tense
(V1), we add to be (is), and the verb “use” is changed into past participle (V3)
“used”. Then, add by, after that put subject millions of people at the end of the
sentence.
