bahasa indonesianya adalah angka. Numbers
ini adalah materi paling dasar yang kamu
harus ketahui karena kita tentunya sangat
sering bertemu anka dimanapun kita berada.
Numbers dibagi menjadi dua bagian yaitu
cardinal numbers dan ordinal number. Apa
itu? Mari kita simak penjelasannya di bawah

Cardinal numbers adalah angka yang menyatakan berapa banyak benda, orang, atau

ai teman-teman, how are you today? hopefully you are fine! Pada kesempatan kali ini kami
akan membahas tentang materi animals. Animal dalam bahasa indonesia berarti binatang. Kita
pasti sering menjumpai binatang di sekitar kita, seperti kucing, anjing, sapi, bahkan mungkin
ular dan laba-laba. Sama seperti dalam bahasa indonesia, dalam bahasa inggris ada dua jenis
binatang/animal yaitu binatang jinak (tame animals) dan binatang liar (wild animals).

1. Tame Animals (binatang jinak)

Tame animals adalah binatang yang tidak berbahaya dan tidak menakutkan. Binatang
jinak ini juga biasanya bisa dipelihara oleh manusia dan patuh terhadap perintah
majikannya. Berikut ini adalah jenis-jenis binatang jinak dalam bahasa inggris:
 camel = unta  goldfish = ikan mas koki
 canary = burung kenari  goose = angsa
 cat = kucing  guinea pig = marmut

padang rumput, dan lain-lain. Berikut ini adalah jenis-jenis binatang liar dalam bahasa

 I don't like snake, its body is slimy and some kind of them are poisoned (aku tidak
suka ular, badannya licin dan beberapa jenis dari mereka itu berbisa)
 Lion is the king of the jungle, all animals seems like scared of him (singa adalah
raja hutan, semua binatang sepertinya takut kepadanya)
 Zebra's body has stripes pattern of black and white (badan zebra mempunyai
bentuk garis-garis hitam dan putih)

Jenis-Jenis Verb (Kata Kerja)

1. Transitive Verb

Transitive verb adalah kata kerja yang membutuhkan objek untuk melengkapi
pengertiannya. Maka transitive verb tidak dapat berdiri sendiri tanpa noun atau pronoun. contoh
kata-nya adalah play, teach, take, make, tell, lend, offer, get, dan lain lain
Contoh Kalimat:
- She makes a cake (dia membuat kue)
- We will play volleyball on this afternoon (kami akan bermain bola voli pada sore ini)
- Don't tell my secret to anyone! (jangan memberitahu rahasiaku pada siapapun!)
Verb makes. play, dan tell pada contoh diatas jika tanpa objek di belakangnya akan mempunyai
arti yang rancu alias tidak nyambung.

2. Intransitive Verb

Intransitive verb merupakan kata kerja yang tidak membutuhkan objek kalimat. contohnya
adalah happen, arrive, ache, glow, bleed, disappear, laugh, cry, shine, speak, dan lain lain.
Contoh Kalimat:
- When will the bus from Garut arrive? (kapan bis dari garut sampai?)
- I'm laughing so hard when I see you started that silly dancing in front of me. (aku tertawa sangat
keras ketika aku melihatmu menari tarian memalukan itu di depanku)
- The thief suddenly disappear in the crowd (pencuri tiba-tiba menghilang di keramaian)
3. Linking Verb

Linking verb adalah kata kerja yang berfungsi untuk menyambungkan satu kata dengan
kata yang lainnya sehingga membentuk sebuah kalimat. Yang termasuk kedalam linking verb
adalah be (am, is, are, was, were, been, appear, prove, become, continue, feel, look, smell, sound,
taste. Contoh Kalimat
- I am not afraid, because you will always beside me (aku tidak takut karena kau akan selalu
disampingku)
- I love the smell first rain touching the ground (aku suka bau dari hujan pertama yang menyentuh
tanah)
- I am writing my blog now, please don't disturb. (aku sedang menulis blog sekarang, tolong
jangan ganggu)

4. Auxiliary Verb

Auxiliary verb adalah kata kerja yang muncul sebelum kata kerja utama (main verb)
didalam suatu kalimat. Auxiliary verb terdiri dari be, do, have, can, could, will, would, shall,
should, may, must, ought to). Contoh Kalimat:
- I am watching TV (aku menonton TV)
- My dog has been missing for two days (anjingku sudah hilang selama dua hari)
- We should take bus now, because this is already late (kita harus naik bis sekarang, karena ini
sudah larut)

5. Regular Verb

Regular verb adalah kata kerja yang teratur karena semuanya berakhiran -ed. Seperti study
menjadi studied, walk menjadi walked, cook menjadi cooked, dan lain lain.
Contoh kalimat:
- The ghost walked through the wall (hantu itu berjalan menembus dinding)
- My mother cooked tteokpokki for the first time (ibuku memasak tteokpokki untuk pertama
kalinya)
- The police helped people across the crowded way (polisi membantu orang orang untuk
menyebrangi jalan yang ramai)

6. Irregular Verb

Irregular verb adalah kata kerja yang tidak beraturan, jadi untuk mengetahui bentuk verb
kedua dan ketiganya kita harus hafal betul atau melihat pada kamus. contoh katanya seperti: go -
went - gone, drink - drank - drunk, eat - ate - eaten, dan lain lain.
Contoh kalimat:
- I went to Jakarta two days ago (aku berangkat ke jakarta dua hari yang lalu)
- My boyfriend wrote a love letter to me (pacarku menulis surat cinta untukku.
