KOSMETIK
Pengertian kosmetik

Kosmetik merupakan bahan yang dapat digunakan untuk mempercantik atau merawat
diri. Kosmetik secara pasti didefinisikan sebagai ilmu yang mempelajari bahan dan manfaat
yang dihasilkan dari penggunaan bahan tersebut terhadap penampilan dan kecantikan
seseorang.

Klasifikasi kosmetik

Menurut bahan yang digunakan dan cara pengolahannya. kosmetika dapat dibedakan
menjadi dua kategori besar, yaitu kosmetika tradisional dan kosmetika modern. Kosmetik
tradisional adalah kosmetik alami atau kosmetik asli yang dapat dibuat langsung dari bahan-
bahan segar atau kering, buah-buahan dan tumbuhan di sekitar kita. Sedangkan kosmetik
modern adalah kosmetik yang diproduksi oleh industri (laboratorium) yang telah dicampur
dengan bahan kimia cadangan kosmetik tersebut sehingga tahan lama, sehingga tidak mudah
rusak.

Dampak kosmetik

Efek kosmetik pada kulit merupakan target utama dalam menerima berbagai pengaruh
dari penggunaan kosmetik. Ada dampak positif dan negatif dari kosmetik. Efek positifnya
adalah kosmetik yang sesuai dengan jenis kulit Anda. Di sisi lain, efek negatifnya bisa
membuat kelainan kulit seperti kemerahan, gatal-gatal atau flek hitam. Ada beberapa faktor
yang menimbulkan dampak negatif seperti faktor manusia, faktor iklim dan faktor kosmetik.

Faktor manusia

Perbedaan warna kulit dan jenis kulit dapat menyebabkan reaksi kulit yang berbeda
terhadap kosmetik, karena struktur dan jenis pigmen melamin yang berbeda.

Faktor iklim

Setiap iklim memberikan pengaruhnya sendiri pada kulit, sehingga kosmetik

seharusnya berbeda.
Faktor kosmetik

Kosmetik dibuat dengan bahan yang berkualitas rendah atau bahan yang berbahaya
bagi kulit dan cara pengolahan yang tidak baik, dapat menimbulkan reaksi negatif seperti
alergi atau kerusakan kulit atau iritasi kulit. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam menggunakan
kosmetik kita harus memperhatikan syarat kosmetik, sehingga kosmetik yang kita gunakan
aman dan tidak menimbulkan efek negatif. Perhatian, ada beberapa bahan berbahaya dalam
kosmetik yang harus dihindari seperti Hydroquinone, Mercuri, Retionic Acid dan Rhodamin
B.
