SHARING AND JUMPING TASK LEARNING ON ACID-BASE MATERIALS
TO IDENTIFY STUDENTS' COLLABORATIVE SKILLS
ABSTRACT
This study aims to conduct sharing and task jumping learning on acid-base materials to
identify students' collaborative skills. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The study
involved students of class XI MIPA 4 in one of the private high schools in Bandung as the
research subject. The instruments used were a teacher interview guidelines; learning
observation; worksheets; the observation sheet of the seven indicators of collaborative skills;
and recording of transcripts of learning which were all analyzed in descriptive qualitative.
The results showed: 1) Learning designs are arranged in the form of chapter designs that
contain the essence of the material, namely the development of the Arrhenius and Bronsted-
Lowry acid-base theory, and lesson design consisted of the first sharing task, for Arrhenius
acid-base theory material, the second sharing task, for the Bronsted-Lowry acid-base theory
material, and the jumping task for ulcer medicine as an application of acid-base material in
everyday life; 2) The results of learning implementation found that the learning process was
in accordance with the learning objectives. However, there were some students who have
difficulty in achieving the learning objectives at the second sharing task stage which was
about determining Bronsted-Lowry conjugate acid-base pairs, on sharing and jumping tasks
learning identified the seven indicators of collaborative skills, and the achievement of
student jumping targets from the actual level to the potential level with the help of peers and
teachers; 3) the revision of the learning design is done in the second sharing task, namely the
revision of the type of task and assistance provided by the teacher. Sharing and jumping task
learning can facilitate students to develop collaborative skills.
