Suatu proses partisipasi beberapa orang ataupun
kelompok organisasi untuk bekerja sama mencapai hasil
tertentu (Kusnandar, 2013)
Bentuk kerjasama untuk mencapai hasil yang diinginkan
sekaligus melahirkan kepercayaan di antara pihak yang
terkait (Ilza, 2011)
Segala bentuk kerjasama yang dilakukan dua orang atau
sekelompok orang dalam bidang tertentu.

 Kolaborasi merupakan suatu proses partisipasi beberapa orang
ataupun kelompok organisasi untuk bekerja sama mencapai hasil
tertentu (Kusnandar:2013).
Dalam kolaborasi setiap orang/bagian memiliki peran dan tangung
jawabnya masing-masing. Perlu dipahami bahwa peran dari tiap
orang disini setara atau sama-sama pentingnya.
Tidak ada yang bisa diabaikan. Jika ada satu orang atau satu bagian
yang tidak mampu melaksanakan tugasnya, maka tujuan dari
kolaborasi itu tidak akan tercapai.

TUJUAN KOLABORASI
1. memaksimalkan sebuah proyek dengan cara
menggabungkan beberapa orang yang kompeten
dalam bidang tertentu di dalam proyek tersebut
2. menambah warna dari proyek dengan cara
mengkolaborasikan hal-hal atau pemikiran yang
sebelumnya belum pernah dilaksanakan.

Pencapaian pengembangan infrastruktur berkelanjutan,
yang memenuhi kebutuhan integrasi aspek lingkungan,
sosial, dan ekonomi, memerlukan keterlibatan partisipan
dengan latar belakang keahlian yang berbeda-beda dalam
proses desain untuk menghasilkan desain terbaik
(Utomo et al 2012).

◦ knowledge creation and integration between actors from different

the design process
the creation of shared understanding about the subjects

creating shared understanding between different disciplines about
the design they were making.

During empirical case study research in industry, we investigated
what factors influence the creation of shared understanding
between actors in collaborative design projects.
Additionally, we examined the collaborative mechanisms that
occur in these projects. Collaborative mechanisms describe
what influence the factors found have on the creation of
shared understanding have on the three building blocks of
collaborative design.
The results of thesis form a significant step towards a better
understanding of collaborative design processes in industry.
