Making Greeting Cards (Membuat Kartu Ucapan)

Apa sih greeting card itu? 

Greeting card itu kartu ucapan, atau ucapan yang berisikan doa dan harapan. Biasanya greeting card ini diberikan ketika
ulang tahun, lulus sekolah, menang lomba, menikah dan kejadian lainnya. 

Mengapa kirim Greeting Card?

Seperti yang disampaikan di atas, tujuannya ialah memberikan doa, harapan, selamat ataupun simpati kepada penerima
dalam bentuk surat. Sebagai contoh, temanmu sedang ulang tahun, maka kamu bisa mengirimkan greeting card yang
isinya berupa doa, selamat serta harapan kepada temanmu. 

Bagaimana struktur Greeting Card?

Jika ingin membuat greeting card, maka ada tiga bagian pokok yang harus ada: penerima (receiver), isi (body), pengirim
(sender). 

 Receiver
Biasanya letaknya di pojok atas kiri surat, to……, dear…, to my beloved…, jika penerimanya bernama Budi, maka , to
Budi, dear Budi. 
 Body
Isinya biasanya harapan, doa, selamat ataupun simpati, kata-kata yang digunakan biasanya congratulation!, happy
birthday! I’m sorry… dan sebagainya.  
 Sender
Biasanya letaknya di pojok bawah kanan surat, from……, your best friend …, jika pengirimnya bernama Toni,
maka , from Toni, your best friend, Toni. 

Apa saja jenis-jenis Greeting Card?

Ada beberapa jenis greeting card yang bisa anda ketahui dan diantaranya ialah sebagai berikut. 

1. Birthday Card
Ucapan selamat ulang tahun, kata yang digunakan happy birthday! 
 Happy birthday! Wish you all the best (selamat ulang tahun! Semoga yang terbaik untukmu)
 Congratulation on your birthday! (selamat atas hari kelahiranmu!)

2. Condolence Card
Ucapan bela sungkawa, 

 My deepest condolences on the passing of your father (turut berduka cita atas meninggalnya ayahmu)
 We wish to express our deepest condolences on the passing of your mother. Hopefully God bless her dan keep her
always (kamu turut berduka cita atas meninggalnya ibumu, semoga Allah memberkati dan menjaganya selalu)

3. New Year Card

Ucapan selamat tahun, pilihan kata yang digunakan happy new year! 
 Happy New Year! Wish you more success and healthier (selamat tahun baru! Semoga lebih sukses dan sehat)

4. Congratulation Card
 Ucapan selamat, pilihan kata yang digunakan biasanya Congratulation on your success in …….. 
 Congratulation on your success in the English debate competition (selamat atas suksesnya dalam lomba debat bahasa
Inggris)
 Congratulation on your appointment as the director of the company (selamat atas terpilihnya sebagai direktur
perusahaan)
 Congratulation on your graduation (selamat atas kelulusannya)

5. Holiday Card

Ucapan selamat hari raya/libur, 

 Happy Eid Mubarak!  (selamat hari raya Idul Fitri)

 Happy Holiday!  (selamat hari libur)
