Creativity Among Communication Student in Producing Short Video.
ABSTRACT
The creative industry in Malaysia is growing in publishing, technology, and law. In
2011 the government launched and introduced a “National Creative Industry Policy” based on three main focus multimedia, cultural arts and heritages. This research studied on how the students generate creative idea and face the challenges of increasing creativity in producing short videos. Besides that, the research wanted to measure the level of students’ creativity in producing short videos. The research sample was fourth and third year students of Communication Program majoring in Broadcasting. This research used survey method base on Torrance Creative Thinking Test to collect data of the student creativity activity. Cognitive theory is one of the preferred frameworks that analyzed creation of ideas produced short video. The finding of the study is showed the student generate creative idea by watching creative videos and naturally idea to produce short video.
