2nd Review for Introduction to Educational Technology

Pada hari Jum’at tepatnya pada tanggal 13 Oktober 2023 untuk pertama
kalinya saya dapat belajar secara langsung dengan Dosen dari Luar negeri yaitu Dr
Obed Opoku Beliau dibawa oleh Dosen kami Bapak Proffesor Deni untuk bisa
mengajar kami secara langsung di kelas. Memang sebelumnya beliau pernah
mengajar kami tapi secara Online di program Matrikulasi Jurusan kami dan pernah
sekali pula beliau mengajarkan mata kuliah tentang Teknologi secara online pada
mata kuliah kami yang kedua.
Materi yang beliau ajarkan pada mata kuliah yang kedua adalah tentang
Manajemen Strategis Pendidikan Teknologi, yang mana pada era kemajuan
teknologi ini penting bagi para pendidik untuk memahami peran mereka selaku
pendidik dan memanfaatkan teknologi untuk meningkatkan fungsinya. Disana juga
dibeerikan contoh – contoh yang praktis pada kecepatan teknologi diberbagai
bidang yang berdampak pada car akita hidup, bekerja, dan berinteraksi. Pada
perkuliahan juga disebutkan ap aitu definisi teknologi yang kurang lebih seperti ini
teknologi adalah sebagai kumpulan keterampilan, tehnik,metode, dan proses, yang
digunakan untuk membuat, merancang, dan mengembangkan, mengoprasikan, dan
mengelola produk, system, dan layanan untuk memnuhi kebutuhan atau tantangan
tertentu. Disana juga disebutkan berbagai jenis alat teknologi Pendidikan seperti
akun google seperti google dokumen, pembaca google, beberapa peramban seperti
firefox, chrome, dan masih banyak lagi seperti tweeter, facebook skype, dan lain –
lain.
Manusia menjadi dasar dari setiap kemajuan teknologi karena manusia
sebagai pusat pengembangan, penggunaan, dan penterjemahan dari teknologi, oleh
karena itu manusia disebut sebagai otak dibalik perkembangan teknologi, otak
dibalik kemajuan teknologi, dan otak dbalik adopsi dan penggunaan teknologi.
Teknologi pendidikandipergunakan pada bidang Pendidikan, alat – alat digital, dan
sumberdaya. Selain itu, focus dari teknologi Pendidikan adalah untuk
meningkatkan pengajaran, pembelajaran, dan hasil Pendidikan.
Ada beberapa pertanyaan yang dikemukakan oleh beberapa orang
mahasiswa pada perkuliahan hari itu diantaranya adalah
1. How to teach the teacher in rural areas who are old and they don’t understand the
use of technology for learning at all they don’t even have any facilities or tools
such as laptop or computers and schools can’t facilitate it be because they are faced
with cost or funding problems (Mrs. Ira)
2. How to convince and unite the perspective of students and educators that
technology is a tool that will facilitate the learning process, given that there are still
many assumptions that the use of technology is difficult? Ironically, those
assumtions even often come first from the educators itself. How to overcome that
situation? (Miss Fariza)
3. How do you maintain consistency in studying educational technology? (Mr
Irwan)
On Friday, October 13, 2023 for the first time I was able to learn directly
with a lecturer from abroad, Dr. Obed Opoku. He was brought by our lecturer Prof.
Deni to be able to teach us directly in class. Indeed, he had previously taught us by
online class in the Matriculation program of our department and he also once taught
a course on Technology online in our second course.
The material he taught in the second course was about Strategic
Management of Technology Education, which in this era of technological advances
is important for educators to understand their role as educators and utilize
technology to improve their functions. There are also practical examples of the
speed of technology in various fields that have an impact on the way we live, work,
and interact. The lecture also mentioned what the definition of technology is, which
is more or less like this technology is a collection of skills, techniques, methods,
and processes, which are used to create, design, and develop, operate, and manage
products, systems, and services to meet certain needs or challenges. There are also
various types of educational technology tools such as google accounts, google
documents, google readers, firefox, chrome, and other applications such as Twitter,
Facebook, and Skype.
Humans are the basis of every technological advancement because humans
are at the center of the development, use, and translation of technology, therefore
humans are called the brains behind technological development, technological
progress, and the adoption and use of technology itself. Educational technology is
used in the fields of education, digital tools, and resources. In addition, the focus of
educational technology is to improve teaching, learning, and educational outcomes.
There were several questions raised by several students at the lecture that
day including:
