UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS AKSARA BALI DENGAN

MENERAPKAN TEKNIK PARTISIPATIF PADA SISWA KELAS VII D SMP

DWIJENDRA DENPASAR TAHUN PELAJARAN 2022 / 2023

ABSTRAK

Menulis merupakan sebuah keterampilan berbahasa yang dipergunakan untuk

berkomunikasi secara tidak langsung. Untuk memudahkan pembaca memahami ide penulis,
penulis hendaknya menyampaikan idenya dengan sistematis. Dalam menulis menggunakan
aksara Bali, penulis tidak saja dituntut mampu menuangkan idenya secara sistematis tetapi,
penulis harus bisa menulis dengan huruf Bali. Pada tingkat SMP menulis dengan aksara Bali
sudah diberikan namun hasilnya belum maksimal.
Memperhatikan hal di atas, maka timbul keinginan meneliti tentang bagaimanakah
kemampuan menulis aksara Bali dengan menerapkan teknik partisipatif pada siswa kelas VII D
SMP Dwijendra Denpasar Tahun pelajaran 2022 / 2023?. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk
mengetahui kemampuan menulis aksara Bali siswa kelas VII D SMP Dwijendra Denpasar serta
ikut membina dan meningkatkan aktivitas dan kreativitas belajar siswa.
Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori menulis yang berkaitan dengan
menulis aksara Bali. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan siswa
kelas VII D SMP Dwijendra Denpasar sebagai sumber data.
Selanjutnya dalam pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes dan wawancara. Setelah
data terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis statistic deskriptif. Dari hasil analisis
data ditemukan bahwa siswa kelas VII D SMP Dwijendra Denpasar Tahun Pelajaran 2022 / 2023
mampu menulis aksara Bali dengan baik. Dengan menunjukkan skor rata-rata pada prasiklus
sebesar 56,5 dan siklus I sebesar 8,5. Peningkatan kemampuan menulis diakibatkan upaya
peneliti menambah strategi pembelajaran dengan menambahkan teknik partisipatif.
Dapat disimpulkan kemampuan menulis aksara Bali siswa kelas VII D SMP Dwijendra
Denpasar Tahun Pelajaran 2022 / 2023 dikategorikan baik, hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil penelitian
kemampuan menunjukkan adanya penigkatan nilai rata-rata sebesar 56,5 pada prasiklus dan
meningkat menjadi 8,5 pada siklus I.
Berdasarkan hasil pemerolehan di atas, maka diharapkan bagi guru bidang studi khususnya
bahasa Bali, agar memperbaiki metode pembelajaran, agar siswa merasa senang dan gembira
saat proses pembelajaran.

 EFFORTS TO IMPROVE THE ABILITY TO WRITE BALINESE SCRIPT BY
APPLYING PARTICIPATORY TECHNIQUES TO STUDENTS OF CLASS VII D
DWIJENDRA DENPASAR JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR
2022/2023

ABSTRACT

Writing is a language skill that is used to communicate indirectly. To make it easier for
readers to understand the writer's ideas, writers should convey their ideas systematically. In
writing using Balinese scripts, writers are not only required to be able to express their ideas
systematically but, writers must be able to write with Balinese scripts. At the junior high school
level, writing with Balinese characters has been given but the results have not been maximized.
Considering the above, there is a desire to research on how the ability to write Balinese
scripts by applying participatory techniques to students of class VII D Dwijendra Denpasar
junior high school in the academic year 2022/2023? The purpose of this research was to
determine the ability to write Balinese scripts of students in class VII D Dwijendra Denpasar
junior high school as well as to foster and improve student learning activities and creativity.
The theory used in this research was the theory of writing related to writing Balinese
scripts. This research type was quantitative research using students of class VII D Dwijendra
Denpasar junior high school as the data source.
Furthermore, in collecting data using test and interview methods. After the data was
collected, it was analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis method. From the results of data
analysis, it was found that students of class VII D of Dwijendra Denpasar Junior High School in
the academic year 2022/2023 were able to write Balinese scripts well. By showing the average
score in the pre-cycle of 56.5 and cycle I of 8.5. The increase in writing ability is due to the
researcher's efforts to add learning strategies by adding participatory techniques.
It can be concluded that the ability to write Balinese scripts of VII D students of Dwijendra
Denpasar Junior High School in the academic year 2022/2023 was categorized as good, this is
evidenced by the results of the ability research showing an increase in the average score of 56.5
in the pre-cycle and increased to 8.5 in the first cycle.
Based on the results above, it was hoped that teachers in the field of study, especially
Balinese, will improve learning methods, so that students feel happy and excited during the
learning process.
