ABSTRAK
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kecanduan game online dengan
masalah mental emosional (p = 0,002 < α 0.05).
Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kecanduan
game online dangan masalah mental emosional di kampung Rumbia Desa Karangreja, Kecamatan
Pebayuran Kabupaten Bekasi.
Diharapkan dari penelitian ini dapat memberikan masukan dan informasi bagi institute
pendidikan, serta menambah pengetahuan bagi para remaja agar mengurangi durasi bermain game
online serta mengetahui bahwa bermain game online secara brlebihan akan berdampak buruk bagi
kesehatan terutama pada mental emosionalnya.
Online game addiction is a condition where the inability to control the time of use in playing
games even to the point of venting emotions and frustration at the defeats that are found, so that it can
affect emotional mental problems. This study aims to determine the relationship between online game
addiction and mental emotional problems in adolescents in Rumbia Village Karangreja Village,
Pebayuran District, Bekasi Regency.
Method quantitative research with cross sectional approach. The population is 44 teenagers in
Rumbia village, Karangreja village, Pebayuran sub-district, Bekasi district. The sampling technique
was purposive sampling to get as many as 20 respondents. Data analysis used univariate by
calculating the frequency distribution of variables and bivariate analysis in the form of Chi-Square
test with a significant value of <0.05.
The results showed that there was a relationship between online game addiction and mental
emotional problems (p = 0.002 < 0.05).
The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between online game
addiction and mental emotional problems in the village of Rumbia Karangreja Village, Pebayuran
District, Bekasi Regency.
It is hoped that this research can provide input and information for educational institutes, as
well as increase knowledge for teenagers to reduce the duration of playing online games and know
that playing online games excessively will have a negative impact on health, especially on mental and
emotional.
