Siklus hidup ikan dimulai dari
perkembangan di dalam gonad
(ovarium pada ikan betina yang
menghasilkan telur dan testis pada
ikan jantan yang menghasilkan
sperma)
Masih muda :
-Sulit dibedakan antara jantan
dan betina baik secara morfologi
maupun anatomi.
-Organ reproduksi jantan dan
betina memiliki struktur yang sama
disebut ganoda.
Dewasa :
-organ reproduksi jantan dapat di
bedakan
-masculine tampak berwarna
putih susu dengan permukaan licin
berisi spermatozoa.
Siklus reproduksi
Sebagian besar ikan mempunyai
siklus temporal, di antaranya adalah
1. Musiman dan Kontinyu
(umumnya ikan memijah) tiap bulan
contohnya ikqn gupi/ikan seribu
Tiap 3-4 bulan contohnya ikan
mujair, lele, mas.
2. Satu kali dalan hidupnya,
contohnya salmon, sidat dan
lamprey laut
3.Tiap tahun (musim tertentu)
contoh selama musim hujan

 Tipe Reproduksi
Serranus sp.

Ada dua tipe reproduksi :

1. Biseksual; di mana sel sperma dan sel telur berkembang
lalu terpisah dalam individu jantan dan betina.
2. Hermafrodit ; di mana sel telur dan sel jantan terdapat
dalam satu individu. Terdapat 3 macam tipe hermafrodit :
Ikan Kakap Merah a. Hermafrodit Synchoni
Gonad pada jantan maupun betina matang di waktu
bersamaan, contoh ikan Serranus sp. dan Hepatus hepatus
b. Hermafrodit Protandri
Ikan yang dapat merubah jenis kelaminnya dari jantan
menjadi betina contoh ikan kakap merah.
c. Hermafrodit Protogyni
Belut
Ikan yang dapat merubah jenis kelaminnya dari betina
menjadi jantan, contoh belut
Sistem reproduksi betina
adalah sepasang ovarium yang menghasilkan ovum. kedua ovarium
ditunjang oleh mesenterium(mesovaria) yaitu berupa kantong kosong yang
dinding luarnya berlipat lipat

Saluran Kencing Kloaka

Arti kloaka adalah ruang umum dan outlet ke mana
saluran usus, saluran kemih dan kelamin terbuka.

Testis
Vas Deferens
Menurut Nagahama (1983),
merupakan organ reproduksi Menurut Japet (2011), Vas
jantan yang terdari atas Deferens terdapat pada testes
sepasang organ memanjang bagian dorsal terdapat saluran
dan terletak pada dinding pengeluaran spermatozoa
dorsal.
