Definisi Puisi

Menurut Pradopo (2011:17), puisi adalah rekaman dan interpretasi pengalaman

manusia yang penting, yang digubah dalam wujud paling berkesan, yaitu berupa
kata-kata indah. Sedangkan dalam Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia (KBBI), puisi
diartikan sebagai ragam sastra yang bahasanya terikat oleh irama, matra, rima
serta penyusunan larik dan bait.

Puisi Lama Puisi Baru Puisi Kontemporer

2. Memparafrasakan Puisi

Memparafrasakan puisi merupakan suatu kegiatan mengungkapkan kembali puisi

kedalam bentuk lain (prosa) dengan tujuan memudahkan pembaca menemukan
makna yang tersembunyi didalam puisi.

Jenis-Jenis Parafrasa
1. Parafrasa terikat : Penguraian puisi menjadi prosa dengan cara menambahkan
atau menyisipkan beberapa kata pada puisi sehingga makna nya mudah
dipahami. Jenis Parafrasa ini tetap menggunakan kata-kata dalam puisi secara
keseluruhan.
2. Parafrasa bebas : Penguraian puisi menjadi prosa menggunakan kata-kata
sendiri. Kata-kata didalam puisi dapat digunkan seluruhnya, sebagian atau
bahkan tidak digunakan.
