Alokasi Waktu : 2 x 40 Menit

A. Tujuan Pembelajaran
Melalui pembelajaran ini peserta didik dapat menerapkan penggunaan ungkapan menyatakan
maksud dan tujuan melakukan sesuatu berdasarkan fungsi sosial, struktur teks dan unsur
kebahasaan dalam bentuk lisan dan tulisan.
B. Media Pembelajaran,Alat/Bahan dan Sumber Belajar
Media : Zoom, Google Classroom
Alat/Bahan : Handphone dan Laptop
Sumber Belajar : Buku Bahasa Inggris Erlangga Bright, tahun 2019

C. Langkah-Langkah Pembelajaran

Kegiatan Awal Guru memotivasi peserta didik dengan memberikan pertanyaan-


pertanyaan membahas topik dan menyatakan tujuan pembelajaran yang
dilakukan.

Kegiatan Inti ● Melalui classwork di google classroom guru membagikan materi


tentang ungkapan menyatakan maksud dan tujuan untuk melakukan
sesuatu dalam bentuk tayangan video pembelajaran
● Peserta didik menyimak materi yang disampaikan melalui video.
● Guru memberikan kesempatan kepada peserta didik untuk
mengidentifikasi sebanyak mungkin hal yang belum dipahami dengan
bertanya mengenai video yang disajikan, melalui tanya jawab di forum
google classroom.
● Peserta didik diberi kesempatan untuk mencatat hal hal penting yang
ada dalam tayangan video pembelajaran.
● Peserta didik membuat kalimat ungkapan menyatakan maksud dan
tujuan untuk melakukan sesuatu dengan menggunakan kata sambung
to, in order to, dan so that

Kegiatan Penutup Peserta didik dengan bimbingan guru membuat kesimpulan pembelajaran
yang telah dilakukan.
Siswa mengerjakan tugas yang diberikan dalam bentuk google form dan
guru mengevaluasinya.

TO, IN ORDER TO, SO THAT

WHAT IS CONJUNCTION?
Conjunctions connect words, phrases, clauses, and sentences together.
The conjunctions to, in order to, so that are used to describe purposes. however they can be used in
different ways.

CLAUSE AND PHRASE


Before we continue to the example, make sure that you understand what is CLAUSE AND PHRASE.
 Clause is a group the words that includes at least a subject and a verb.
 Phrase is a group of words that does not include a subject and a verb. LETS’ STUDY THE USING
OF CONJUNCTION “TO”
 I want to go to England to improve my English
 He changed his job to make more money “ To + infinitive” the reason a purpose of an action
THE USING OF CONJUNCTION “ in order to”
 We took a taxi in order to arrive on time
 Exercise regularly in order not to get sick
From these examples we can see that In order to, in order not to, followed by infinitive. THE USING OF
CONJUNCTION “ so that”
 We took a taxi so that we could arrive on time
 I will cook so that you can relax
From these examples we can see that conjunction “so that” followed by subject and verb. EXAMPLE:
 I am using my computer to send an email to my friend
 He is learning Mandarin so that he can study in China
 Dad goes jogging every morning in order to keep fit
