A. Definisi fraktur
Definisi : Putusnya hubungan kesinambungan/ diskontinuitas tulang dan atau tulang
rawan
B. Klasifikasi Fraktur
1. Fraktur tertutup :Bila kulit sekitar intak

2. Fraktur terbuka :Bila ada luka, sehingga terjadi hubungan dengan dunia luar
sehingga kemungkinan terjadi kontaminasi atau infeksi sangat tinggi

C. Klasifikasi Fraktur Terbuka

Klasifikasi berdasar Gustillo – Anderson :
a. Luka < 1 cm
b. Luka 1 – 10 cm
c. Luka > 10 cm
1. Soft tissue coverage
2. Bone exposed
3. Vascular injury injury need to be repair

D. Klasifikasi berdasar Garis patahan

1. Complete fractures
The bone is compeletely broken into 2 or more fragments.
 a. Transverse
b. oblique or spiral,
c. Impacted fracture
d. Comminuted fracture

2. Incomplete fracture
The bone is incompeletely divided and the periosteum remains in continuity.
a. Greenstick fracture
b. Compression fracture

E. Klasifikasi berdasar Lokasi

i. Tulang Panjang
a. 1/3 proksimal
b. 1/3 tengah
c. 1/3 distal
ii. Tulang Melintang
a. 1/4 medial
b. 1/4 lateral
F. How to Heal ?
1. Tissue destruction and haematoma formation
2. Inflamation and cellular proliferation
3. Callus formation
4. Consolidation
5. Remodelling

* penyembuhan langsung dan lebih cepat pada fraktur di cancellous bone dan fraktur
pada bagian yang memiliki internal fixation

Faktor kegagalan peyembuhan :

a. Fragmennya tidak menyambung/terdistraksi
b. Interposition of soft tissue between the fragments
c. Mobile/movement tinggi
d. Poor blood supply
