JURNAL REFLEKTIF (LAMPIRAN RUJUKAN)

Jurnal Reflektif
1. Pelajar mesti menulis jurnal berdasarkan satu-satu peristiwa / masalah / isu yang difokuskan atau pun
berdasarkan satu-satu perkara yang sangat menonjol bagi perjalanan mingguan semasa berpraktikum.
2. Pelajar perlu menulis Jurnal Reflektif berdasarkan subtopik seperti senarai semak di bawah bagi

memudahkan pelajar.
3. Pelajar boleh membuat rujukan kepada mana-mana bahan ilmiah yang bersesuaian.
4. Pelajar juga digalakkan untuk berbincang dengan guru pembimbing sebelum membuat penulisan jurnal.
5. Penulisan pelajar mestilah asli dan tiada unsur plagiat tetapi tidak menjadi kesalahan jika tajuk
bersamaan dengan jurnal pelajar yang lain.

Tajuk : First week of Practicum

1. ISU YANG DIFOKUSKAN :


On Wednesday 30th of June 2021, I had reported for duty for our first phase of practicum at my school SJKT
Perak Sangeetha Sabah. I had a google meet session together with my practicum partner Ganesh, with the
heamistress, Pn. Santhrika and my cooperating teacher Pn. Umawathi. In the meeting, the headmistress and
the cooperating teacher explained about the background of the school and their expectations towards us.
Although this is only PDPR, I found myself to be lacking self-confidence in familiarizing myself with the
school’s environment which was totally different from my previous school environment. I also considered
this as a bit of culture shock as my previous practicum was in a rural school with only 52 pupils but this is a
cluster school with approximately 400 pupils.

2. ANALISIS ISU YANG DIFOKUSKAN (PUNCA DAN KESAN ISU):


After identifying the problems, it can be concluded that internal factors such as my poor sociolinguistic,
especially in terms of interaction impacts my motivation and confidence. Also, the expectations set by my
school administrators created the fear in me whether I would be able to continue the legacy of my
cooperating teacher or not in conducting the lessons.

3. KAJIAN LAMPAU (LITERATURE REVIEW) TERHADAP ISU (PENGALAMAN ATAU KAJIAN LEPAS):
According to Noriati Rashid et.al (2012), aspects of the physical environment, psychology and social
relationships give influence in teaching and learning. Thus, positive relationships help to motivate teacher
trainees.

4. CADANGAN DAN IDEA PENYELESAIAN MASALAH:


Several steps have been identified in order to overcome the encountered problem. One of the steps is that
I need to be mentally and physically stable as well as fit to deal with in any situation. Additionally, I have to
create a positive mindset during these 12 weeks in this school. Lastly, the step that I can take is I have to
always maintain a great communication with my school administrators and teachers by referring to them
whenever I face issues.

I will try to overcome this issue by always in touch with my cooperating teacher. I will always refer to her
whenever I plan my lessons. In addition, I will also try to increase the intrinsic motivation within me.

8. KEBERKESANAN LANGKAH YANG DICADANGKAN :


After doing what I stated in the suggestions to overcome my identified problem, it gave me positive input
and increased my self confidence to conduct the lesson successfully in the first week of practicum at SJKT
Perak Sanggeetha Sabah.

9. KESIMPULAN / REFLEKSI (KESAN TINDAKAN (PERLU) DAN HALANGAN (JIKA ADA):


I hope that the built-in bonds with my school administrators and cooperating teacher will have a positive
impact in adapting to the school’s culture and environment. I really hope that my lesson will be liked by all
parties, thus allowing me to gain knowledge from the school community. Improved social communication is
crucial and it is also capable of deflecting key obstacles such as lack of self-confidence.
