Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is a collection of symptoms that occur due to increased blood
glucose levels caused by disturbances in the body in controlling blood sugar.
Impaired insulin secretion can also cause diabetes mellitus. Diabetes mellitus is a
silent cause of death or the "Silent Killer" this can occur because diabetics are not
aware that they have high blood sugar levels.
This study uses a qualitative design. The subjects of this study were outpatients
who checked blood glucose using the glucometer strip method. This study uses a
sampling technique in the form of accidental sampling. The research was carried
out from April 4, 2022 to May 23, 2022 at the Ngudi Sehat clinic.
In this study, 28 people had blood glucose values ≥200 mg/dl and 134 people had
blood glucose values <200 mg/dl and were categorized into Diabetes Mellitus and
Non Diabetes Mellitus. With an average blood glucose value of 157.654321
mg/dl.
The conclusion is that respondents at the Ngudi clinic were healthy from April 4
to May 23, 2022, out of 164 people had an average blood glucose value of
157654321 mg/dl and the average age was 52.2345679 years or if rounded off, the
average age range was around 52. up to 53 years.
