PANGLIMA SUDIRMAN

Sudirman was born to Karsid Kartawiraji (father) and Siyem while


they lived with Siyem's sister Tarsem, one of three women married to the

Karangjati, Purbalingga
In his fifth year of school, Sudirman asked to leave his studies,
concerned with the ridicule he faced at the government-run school  this
request was at first refused, but Sudirman was transferred to a junior high
school run by Taman Siswa in his seventh year of school. In his eighth year,
Sudirman transferred to Wirotomo Junior High School ] after the Taman
Siswa School was found to be unregistered and closed under the Wild
School Ordinance
Although Cokrosunaryo's death in 1934 left the family poor, Sudirman
was allowed to continue his studies without paying until he graduated later
that year; after his step-father's death, Sudirman also devoted more time to
studying the Sunnah and prayer By age 19, Sudirman had become a pupil
teacher at Wirotomo.
After graduating from Wirotomo, Sudirman spent a year at a
Muhammadiyah-run teacher's college in Surakarta, but later dropped out
owing to a lack of funds. In 1936 he returned to Cilacap to teach at a
Muhammadiyah-run elementary school, having been trained by his teachers
at Wirotomo; that year he married Alfiah, a former schoolmate and the
daughter of the rich batik merchant Raden Sastroatmojo

Beberapa istilah penting


1. A recount text is a text which retells events or experiences in the past.
which the purpose is to tell the readers what happened in the past
through a sequence of events.
2. Orientation is introducing the participants, place and time
3. Events is describing series of events that happened in the past
4. Reorientation it is optional. Starting personal comment of the writer
to the story
5. Language features are the grammar that are used in the text

RA. KARTINI

Maya Raden Kartini or often abbreviated as RA Kartini was born on April 21, 1879 in the city of
Jepara, Central Java. He was the son of a nobleman who was very devout in customs. After
graduating from elementary school he was not allowed to continue their education to a higher
level by the parents. He secluded while waiting to be married.

Kartini small very saddened by this, but he did not dare to oppose for fear of being considered
rebellious child. To relieve his grief, he collected textbooks and other science books are then
read in the garden house accompanied Simbok (assistants). Finally read into his interest, no
day without reading.

All books, including reading the newspaper. If there is difficulty in understanding the books and
newspapers he reads, he always asks his Father. Through this book, Kartini interested in the
advancement of women think Europe (the Netherlands, who was still colonized Indonesia).
Arising desire to promote women in Indonesia. Women are not only the kitchen but also must
have knowledge. He began by collecting the girls to teach writing and other sciences.

Amid busy he did not stop to read and also write a letter to his friends who are in the Netherlands.
Before long he was writing a letter to Mr.JH Abendanon. He pleaded awarded a scholarship to
study in the Netherlands. The scholarship had not gotten used Kartini as he married off by her
parents to Raden Duke Joyodiningrat. After marriage he took her to the Apex. Her husband
