English is one of the most important languages in the world because it is used not only for
communication but also for sharing ideas, thought, desire and feeling and English has been
playing the main part in several sectors including medicine, engineering and education.The
students’ interest is one of the main factors to achieve the goal of teaching and learning English,
for that reason, movie is one of the media that can be used to improve students’ motivation in
learning English.Watching English movies as a media for teaching and learning it can help
improve student’s language skills, this is because the movies can make the learning and teaching
process more interesting and enjoyable for teachers and students. It can be conclude that by
watching movies students will improve much if they learn more words and expressions. Even if
the students’ grammar is excellent, they just will not be able to communicate their meaning
without an extensive vocabulary.

Tehnique to mastery english vocabulary

Syarat utama mempelajari kosakata baru adalah dengan mencari daftar kosakata yang akan
dipelajari dari bahan-bahan literatur Inggris, termasuk film dan artikel artikel. Syarat ini haruslah
diutamakan oleh seorang tenaga pengajar ketika ingin mengajarkan kosakata baru kepada para
peserta didiknya. Membaca adalah salah satu faktor penentu dalam upaya memperkaya
pengetahuan kita dan dengan demikian memberbanyak daftar kosakata bahasa Inggris yang kita
perlukan untuk dapat menggunakan bahasa Inggris baik secara aktif maupun secara pasif.
memotivasi anak-anak untuk belajar bahasa Inggris dengan lebih optimal.Ada beberapa teknik
yang dapat diterapkan di dalam kelas-kelas berbahasa Inggris dengan tujuan untuk
mengembangkan penguasaan kosakata para mahasiswa.Teknik pertama: membuat dan
mempelajari daftar kosakata dengan membuat profil kosakata.
Teknik kedua; Mendesain permainan kosakata dalam bentuk visual. Kosakata yang akan
dipelajari haruslah yang berada di dalam buku teks atau materi yang akan dipelajari oleh
mahasiswa.Tetapi kata-kata baru juga dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan
menggunakan kata-kata baru tersebut untuk berkomunikasi.

Learning English With Movie

Watching is one of the fun activities. That's why learning English through movies is more fun
than learning through books.In addition,watching a movie also offers other things not listed in
the book. For example, pronunciation (pronunciation) and accent (accent) methods. The film
shows visual and auditory material that facilitates learning English. Reading a book and learning
English can be boring and tiring. It's not like watching a movie. Watching games is a fun and
entertaining activity that makes us feel like we are not learning. The next reason that watching a
movie is a way to learn English is because it gives us an example of how to use English in a real
context.When we learn English words,we sometimes have a hard time remembering their
meanings and usages.

(Katemba 2021) stated that in the globalization era, we cannot escape technology because it has
infused into our lives and the educational system. In her study it showed that the students’
vocabulary increased significantly upon using the technology in the classroom or during the
learning process.

(Ayu 2020) stated movies can help students learning English easily anytime and anywhere.

The result of data analysis revealed that movies/series helped increase vocabulary among college
students. Netflix movies/series are regarded as one of the finest ways for learning vocabulary
with many benefits and advantages no matter whether the student is from a private or state
university, the gender or age are the student's don differ.On other hand, (Katemba,Ning 2018) in
her research also stated that subtitled English movie makes vocabulary learning easier for the
student. According to the research finding conducted by (Ramazan Goctu 2017), including
movies in language learning is not only beneficial for EFL students, but it also increases
selfmotivation and provides an engaging educational experience. Albiladi et al., (2018) in their
research state that almost all adult language learners said that watching English movies to learn
the language is useful since the movies represent real-life language spoken by native speakers.
The respondents tended to believe that the language used in movies is lifelike real.Movies as
authentic linguistic sources. In the study conducted by (Jayasudha et al.2021) students feel that
watching English movies, especially those with subtitles, can help them learn the language.

In short, learning new vocabulary through Netflix's English movies / series offers students with
an interesting approach to learning new vocabulary. Interestingly, they can improve her
vocabulary.Watching English movies / series on Netflix allows students to expand their
vocabulary. In addition, students can enjoy movies and music. A fun learning environment.
