Pronounciation is a very important part of speaking English. Learning in the
modern era at this time not only adjusts the learning rhythm, but one's creativity in
conveying learning must attract the attention and enthusiasm of students. One's
enthusiasm for learning must be increased by using more interesting media. This
enthusiasm must be developed in the soul of Gen Z in the current millennial era.
An application that supports sophisticated learning media and attracts the attention
of Gen Z is the TikTok application. This application, which is often used for
learning media, seems to have many uses that can be used as media for learning
pronounciation in the current millennial era. The suitability of this application for
learning media for Gen Z encourages research to respond to the enthusiasm of
Gen Z at SMA ULUL ALBAB. This study aims to answer questions from the
formulation of the problem, namely to find out the enthusiastic response of Gen Z
at SMA ULU ALBAB in learning English related to pronounciation using social
media TikTok. This research is useful for researchers, for schools, and for other
researchers. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive
method using questionnaires and interviews. Furthermore, research data will be
processed in the process of editing, coding, and tabulation. The research results
obtained from this study are 1) the enthusiasm of Gen Z at ULUL ALBAB High
School in learning English related to pronounciation using social media TikTok is
60%, which means it is in the medium category.
