Oil Palm Nursery Fertiliser Schedule
1 Two stage nursery
- Follow the fertiliser schedule given in
Table1.
- To prepare the solution to be applied during
the first stage, dissolve 8, 16 or 24g
15/15/6/4 NPK fertiliser in 5 litres water for
100 seedlings.
- Application can most conveniently be done
using a watering can.
- Watering should be done one hour after
fertiliser application to avoid leaf scorch.
- The seedlings should be transplanted to large
polybags at 13 weeks.
- If this is delayed, continue weekly
applications of the 12 week fertiliser rate.
2 Single stage nursery
- Follow the fertiliser schedule given in Table
2.
- To prepare the solution to be applied during
the first month, dissolve 8g 15/15/6/4 NPK
fertiliser in 5 litres water for 100 seedlings.
- Application can most conveniently be done
using a watering can.
- Watering should be done immediately after
fertiliser application to avoid leaf scorch.
- If the seedlings are not transferred to the field
after one year (e.g. for APM material),
continue application of 35g 12/12/17/2 NPK
every month and 20g kieserite every two
months.
3 Single stage nursery with POME available
- No additional fertiliser application is required
during the first 4 months.
- Thereafter follow the schedule given in Table
3.
- If the seedlings are not transferred to the field
after one year, continue application of 40g
12/12/17/2 NPK every other month.
4 Correction of Deficiency Symptoms
In some cases deficiency of individual nutrients
may arise because the soil is of sub-standard
fertility or excessive rainfall causes loss of
fertiliser.

Jadwal pemupukan bibit kelapa sawit
1 Bibitan dua tahap
- Ikuti jadwal pemupukan yang tertera di Tabel
1
- Persiapkan pemberian larutan pupuk pada
tahap pertama, larutkan 8, 16 dan 24g NPK
15/15/6/4 kedalam 5 liter air untuk 100 bibit.
- Pengaplikasian sebaiknya dilakukan dengan
menggunakan gembor.
- Bibit harus disiram 1 jam setelah aplikasi
pupuk agar daun tidak ‘terbakar’.
- Bibit dipindahkan ke polybag besar pada umur
13 minggu.
- Jika pemindahan tertunda, lanjutkan
pemupukan mingguan dengan menggunakan
dosis umur 12 minggu.
2 Bibitan satu tahap
- Ikuti jadwal pemupukan yang tertera di Tabel
2.
- Persiapkan pemberian larutan pupuk pada
bulan pertama, larutkan 8g NPK 15/15/6/4
kedalam 5 liter air untuk 100 bibit.
- Pengaplikasian sebaiknya dilakukan dengan
menggunakan gembor.
- Penyiraman harus segera dilakukan setelah
aplikasi pupuk agar daun tidak terbakar.
- Jika bibit tidak ditanam ke lapangan setelah
umur satu tahun (misalnya untuk sisipan/
APM), lanjutkan pemupukan dengan dosis 35g
NPK 12/12/17/2 setiap bulan dan 20 gram
kieserite setiap dua bulan.
3. Bibitan satu tahap jika POME tersedia
- Tidak ada pemberian pupuk selama 4 bulan
pertama.
- Setelah itu ikuti jadwal pemupukan seperti
pada Tabel 3.
- Jika bibit telah berumur 1tahun belum
dipindah ke lapangan, lanjutkan pemupukan
dengan dosis 40g NPK 12/12/17/2 setiap dua
bulan.
4 Mengatasi Gejala Defisiensi
Kadang-kadang defisiensi salah satu unsur hara
dapat terjadi disebabkan tanahnya kurang subur
atau hilangnya hara karena curah hujan yang
tinggi.
4.1 The commonest deficiency symptoms are :
N - pale colour of all leaves
Mg - yellowing of lower leaves
B - crinkling of new leaves
4.2 If deficiency symptoms are observed, treat as
follows:
4.2.1 N 4.2.1
At an early stage (e.g. 1-3 leaves) spray with a
solution of 7g urea in 5 litres water for 100
plants.
For older plants spray with a solution of 14g
urea in 5 litres water for 100 plants.
4.2.2 Mg
For young seedlings (i.e. less than 3 months)
spray with a solution of 20g Epsom salts in 5
litres water for 100 plants.
For older plants apply to the soil an additional
10g (3-6 months) or 20g (6-12 months)
kieserite per plant.
4.2.3 B 4.2.3
Spray with a solution of 10g HGFB in 5 litres
water for 100 plants.
4.2.4 Fe
Spray with a solution of 10g EDTA (or if not
available, use iron sulphate) in 5 litres water
for 100 plants.

4.1 Gejala defisiensi yang sangat umum adalah :
N - semua daun berwarna pucat
Mg - daun-daun bawah berwarna kekuningan
B - daun muda mengeriting / mengkerut
4.2 Jika terlihat gejala defisiensi, lakukan tindakan
sbb :
N
Pada tahap awal (misalnya 1-3 daun) semprot
dengan satu larutan (7g urea + 5 liter air)
untuk 100 bibit.
Untuk bibit bibit yg lebih tua, semprot dgn
satu larutan (14g urea + 5 liter air) untuk 100
bibit.
4.2.2 Mg
Untuk bibit bibit muda (kurang dari 3 bulan)
semprot dengan satu larutan (20g Garam
Inggris + 5 liter air) untuk 100 bibit.
Untuk bibit bibit yg lebih tua, tambahankan
kieserite dengan dosis 10 gram (umur 3-6
bulan) atau 20 gram (6-12 bulan) per pokok.
B
Semprot dengan satu larutan (10g HGFB + 5
liter air) untuk 100 bibit.
4.2.4 Fe
Semprot dengan satu larutan (10g EDTA atau
jika tidak ada, gunakan iron sulphate + 5 liter
air) untuk 100 bibit.
