HUBUNGAN ANTARA ABDOMINAL OBESITY DENGAN KETERATURAN


SIKLUS MENSTRUASI PADA REMAJA AWAL DI SMP NEGERI 1 BERGAS

ABSTRAK

Latar Belakang : Menstruasi adalah proses kematangan atau kematuran seksual bagi
seorang wanita. Panjang siklus normal menstruasi yakni 21-35 hari. Terdapat 29,3%
penduduk di Provinsi Jawa Tengah yang mengalami abdominal obesity. Abdominal obesity
berhubungan dengan risiko kesehatan dikarenakan lemak perut memicu jaringan adiposa
yang menghasilkan hormon dalam jumlah yang tidak normal. Abdominal obesity merupakan
faktor yang mempengaruhi keteraturan siklus menstruasi.
Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan antara abdominal
obesity dengan keteraturan siklus mentruasi pada remaja awal.
Metode : Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross
sectional. Populasi berjumlah 446 orang siswi SMP Negeri 1 Bergas. Subjek berjumlah 211
orang yang diambil dengan Proportional Random Sampling. Pengambilan data menggunakan
Metline untuk mengukur lingkar perut melihat kejadian Abdominal obesity dan kuesioner
berupa kalender untuk melihat keteraturan siklus menstruasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan
uji Chi Square.
Hasil : Gambaran abdominal obesity pada remaja awal di SMP N 1 Bergas yakni tidak
abdominal obesity sebanyak 152 responden (72,0%) dan abdominal obesity sebanyak 59
responden (28,0%). Gambaran siklus menstruasi pada remaja awal di SMP N 1 Bergas yakni
siklus menstruasi normal sebanyak 166 responden (78,7%) dan siklus mentruasi tidak normal
sebanyak 45 responden (21,3%). Ada hubungan antara abdominal obesity dengan keteraturan
siklus mentruasi (p=0,0001).
Simpulan : Ada hubungan antara abdominal obesity dengan keteraturan siklus menstruasi
ditandai dengan nilai p=0,0001.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ABDOMINAL OBESITY AND THE


REGULATION OF THE MENSTRUAL CYCLE IN EARLY ADOLESCENTS AT
SMP NEGERI 1 BERGAS

ABSTRACT
Background :Menstruation is the process of sexual maturity or maturity for a woman. The
normal length of the menstrual cycle is 21-35 days. There are 29.3% of the population in
Central Java Province who experience abdominal obesity. Abdominal obesity is associated
with health risks because belly fat triggers adipose tissue to produce abnormal amounts of
hormones. Abdominal obesity is a factor that affects the regularity of the menstrual cycle.
Objective :This study aims to determine the relationship between abdominal obesity and the
regularity of the menstrual cycle in early adolescents.
Method :The design of this research is a descriptive correlation research with a cross
sectional approach. The population is 446 students of SMP Negeri 1 Bergas. Subject amount
211 people who were taken by the Proportional Random Sampling research technique. Data
were collected using Metline to measure abdominal circumference to see the incidence of
Abdominal Obesity and a questionnaire in the form of a calendar to see the regularity of the
menstrual cycle. Data were analyzed using Chi Square test.
Results :The description of abdominal obesity in early adolescents at SMP N 1 Bergas,
namely no abdominal obesity as many as 152 respondents (72.0%) and abdominal obesity as
many as 59 respondents (28.0%). The description of the menstrual cycle in early adolescents
at SMP N 1 Bergas, namely normal menstrual cycles as many as 166 respondents (78.7%)
and abnormal menstrual cycles as many as 45 respondents (21.3%). There is a relationship
between abdominal obesity with the regularity of the menstrual cycle (p=0.0001).
Conclusion:There is a relationship between abdominal obesity and the regularity of the
menstrual cycle, which is indicated by the p value = 0.0001.
