1.0 PENDAHULUAN

1.1 Latar Belakang


Balai Teknik Perkeretaapian Kelas 1 Jawa Bagian Barat menugaskan PT. WSP Engineering untuk
melaksanakan survei geoteknik di lokasi kelongsoran lereng jalur KA antara Batutulis-Ciomas lintas Bor.
Pekerjaan survei geoteknik meliputi pengeboran dalam dan pengujian laboratorium. Untuk pekerjaan
pengeboran dalam dilengkapi dengan pengujian Standard Penetration Test (SPT) dan soil sampling.
Lokasi pekerjaan ada pada jalur ganda kereta api Batutulis-Ciomas lintas Bogor-Sukabumi, KM 6+550
sampai KM 6+800. Lokasi pekerjaan ditujukkan pada Gambar 1.1.

1.2 Tujuan
Tujuan dari pekerjaan penyelidikan tanah adalah sebagai berikut:
a. Mendapatkan informasi dan gambaran awal terkait jenis tanah dan stratigrafinya;
b. Mengetahui karakteristik lapisan tanah dan mendapatkan parameter tanah desain yang akan
digunakan dalam melakukan analisis pondasi, timbunan, retaining wall dan fasilitas penunjang
lainnya;
c. Mengetahui kondisi muka air tanah.

1.3 Ruang Lingkup Pekerjaan


Ruang lingkup pekerjaan dalam meliputi:
1. Melakukan penyelidikan tanah lapangan
Pekerjaan penyelidikan tanah lapangan meliputi pekerjaan sebagai berikut:

a. Pengeboran dalam (machine drilling) sebanyak 4 (empat) titik, dengan kedalaman masing-masing
titik bervariasi antara 20-30 meter;
b. Melakukan pengambilan sampel tidak terganggu (Undisturbed Sample/UDS) pada semua titik bor
setiap interval kedalaman 3 meter atau setiap perubahan lapisan tanah. Rata-rata 3 UDS untuk
setiap titik bor;
Catatan: untuk lapisan lempung/lanau yang keras, UDS diambil dengan menggunakan Mazier
Sampler;
c. Pengujian SPT (standar penetration test) untuk masing-masing titik bor, dengan interval testing
setiap 2 meter pengeboran;
d. Deskripsi tanah selama pengeboran untuk mengidentifikasi stratigrafi tanah.
2. Melakukan pengujian laboratorium
Uji laboratorium dilakukan untuk semua sampel tidak terganggu (UDS) yang telah diperolah selama
pekerjaan pengeboran. Uji laboratorium yang dilakukan adalah sebagai berikut:
a. Index Properties
Pengujian index properties meliputi:
- Water Content (ASTM D2216-98);
- Specific Gravity (ASTM D854);
- Unit Weight (ASTM D2216-98);
- Atterberg Limit (ASTM D4318-84);
- Grain Size Analysis (ASTM D422).
b. Shear Strength
Pengujian shear strength meliputi:
- Triaxial Unconsolidated Undrained (ASTM D2580-87);
- Triaxial Consolidated Undrained (ASTM D4767-11).

2.0 METODOLOGI PEKERJAAN PENYELIDIKAN TANAH

2.1 Pengeboran (Machine Drilling)


Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengeboran inti (Core Machine Drilling) mengacu pada ASTM D2113-83,
“Standard Practice for Rock Core Drilling and Sampling of Rock for Site Investigation”. Hasil core drilling
yang didapatkan selama proses pengeboran ditempatkan di dalam corebox (mengacu pada Gambar
2.1), untuk dideskripsikan secara lithology.

2.2 Undisturbed Soil Sampling


Pengambilan sampel tanah tak-terganggu (Undisturbed Soil Sample/UDS) dilakukan untuk memperoleh
sampel tanah yang representatif untuk tes laboratorium. Sampel yang diambil di lapangan menggunakan
thin-walled tube (shebly tube). Pengambilan sampel dengan thin-walled tube digunakan untuk
memperoleh sampel tak-terganggu untuk tanah kohesif dan tanah lempung. Pengambilan sampel tak-
terganggu dilakukan dengan hati-hati untuk memastikan sampel yang diperoleh tidak mengalami
gangguan. Setelah sampel didapatkan, kedua sisi tabung ditutup dengan parafin untuk melindungi dari
panas, penguapan dan friksi, hal ini dilakukan untuk memastikan struktur dan komposisi tanah masih
dalam kondisi asli. Secara umum pengambilan sampel tak-terganggu mengacu pada ASTM D1587,
“Standard Practice for Thin-Walled Tube Sampling of Soil for Geotechnical Purposes”.

2.3 Standard Penetration Test


Standard Penetration Test (SPT) dilakukan untuk mengestimasi nilai kerapatan relatif dari lapisan tanah
yang diuji. Untuk melakukan pengujian SPT dibutuhkan sebuah alat utama yang disebut Standard Split
Barrel Sampler atau tabung belah standar. Alat ini dimasukkan ke dalam Bore Hole setelah dibor terlebih
dahulu dengan alat bor. Alat ini diturunkan bersama-sama pipa bor hingga ujungnya menumpu ke tanah
dasar. Setelah menumpu alat ini kemudian dipukul (dengan alat pemukul yang beratnya 63.5- kg) dengan
tinggi jatuh 76-cm.
Standard Penetration Test (SPT) akan dilakukan dengan menggunakan “Spoon Sampler" atau “Split
Spoon Samplers” dengan panjang 18.0 inches (45.70 cm) untuk yang tanpa “shoe”, atau dengan panjang
70.70 cm untuk yang menggunakan “shoe” dan mempunyai diameter dalam 3/8 inch (35 mm). Test akan
dilakukan berdasarkan ASTM D1586-84 (1984).

Pada pemukulan pertama alat ini dipukul hingga sedalam 15.24 cm. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan
pemukulan tahap kedua sedalam 30.48 cm. Pada pukulan kedua inilah muncul nilai "N" yang merupakan
manifestasi jumlah pukulan yang dibutuhkan untuk membuat tabung belah standar mencapai kedalaman
30.48 cm.

Hubungan antara nilai “N” dengan kerapatan relatif untuk tanah berbutir halus dan tanah berbutir kasar
ditunjukkan pada Tabel 2-1 dan Tabel 2-2.

2.4 Pengujian di Laboratorium


2.4.1 Index Properties
Pengujian index properties bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik tanah yang meliputi pegujian:
a. Water Content (Wn)
Pengujian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar air tanah. Kadar air adalah rasio perbandingan antara
berat air dengan berat tanah kering yang dinyatakan dalam persen (%). Pengujian ini mengacu pada
ASTM D2216-98, “Standard Test Method for Laboratory Determination of Water (Moisture) Content of
Soil and Rock by Mass”.
b. Specific Gravity (Gs)
Pengujian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui berat jenis spesifik (specific gravity) tanah. Specific gravity
adalah rasio perbandingan antara massa (berat) kering butiran tanah dan massa (berat) air suling
(distilled water) pada volume yang sama denga volume butrian tersebut. Pengujian ini mengacu pada
ASTM D854, “Standard Test Method for Specific Gravity of Soil”.

c. Berat Volume ()


Pengujian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui berat volume tanah. Berat volume adalah rasio
perbandingan antara berat tanah dengan volume tanah. Berat volume yang diperoleh dari pengujian

ini adalah berat volume basah (m) dan berat volume kering (d). Pengujian ini mengacu pada ASTM
D2216-98, “Standard Test Method for Laboratory Determination of Water (Moisture) Cotent of Soil and
Rock by Mass”.
d. Analisis Saringan (Grain Size Analaysis)
Pengujian analisis saringan bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyebaran/distribusi tanah berbutir kasar
yang mempunyai ukuran lebih besar dari 0.075 mm sementara untuk tanah berbutir halus atau
berukuran kurang dari 0.075 mm menggunakan analisa Hydrometer. Pengujian ini mengacu pada
ASTM D422, “Standard Test Method for Particle-Size Analysis of Soils”.
e. Batas Atterberg (Atterberg Limit)

Pengujian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui batas-batas Atterberg, seperti Liquid Limit (LL), Plastic Limit
(PL) dan Plasticity Index (PI). Pengujian ini mengacu pada ASTM D4318-84, “Test Method for Liquid
Limit, Plastic Limit and Plasticity Index of Soil”.

2.4.2 Shear Strength


a. Triaxial UU (Unconsolidated Undrained)
Pengujian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh parameter kuat geser tanah total. Pengujian ini mengacu
pada ASTM D2850-87, “Standard Test Method for Unconsolidated Undrained Compressive Strength
of Cohesive Soils in Triaxial Compression”.
b. Triaxial CU (Consolidated Undrained)
Pengujian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh parameter kuat geser tanah total dan efektik. Pengujian ini
mengacu pada ASTM D4767-11, ”Standard Test Method for Consolidated Undrained Triaxial
Compression Test for Cohesive Soils”.

3.0 SURVEI GEOTEKNIK

Survei geoteknik meliputi pekerjaan penyelidikan tanah dan survei georadar. Penyelidikan tanah meliputi
pekerjaan pengeboran dalam (machine drilling) yang dilaksanakan di jalur ganda kereta api antara
Batutulis-Ciomas lintas Bogor-Sukabumi pada tanggal 31 Oktober sampai dengan 11 November 2022.
Layout dan rangkuman titik penyelidikan tanah ditunjukkan pada Gambar 3.1 dan Tabel 3-1.

Survei georadar dilaksanakan pada tanggal 15 Desember 2022, survei ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui
kondisi bawah permukaan dengan mengirimkan sinyal elektromagnetik. Hasil survei serta dokumentasi
pekerjaan ditunjukkan pada LAMPIRAN F.

3.1 Hasil Machine Drilling


Hasil machine drilling berupa borlog, dokumentasi lapangan dan dokumentasi corebox secara berturut-
turut ditunjukkan pada LAMPIRAN B, LAMPIRAN C, dan LAMPIRAN D.

3.2 Kondisi Tanah Bawah Permukaan


Berdasarkan hasil pengeboran dalam yang disertai pengujian SPT pada masing-masing lubang bor
diperoleh gambaran awal jenis tanah dan stratigrafinya serta kekuatan dari tanah. Informasi jenis dan
komposisi tanah diperoleh dengan mendeskripiskan langsung saat pengeboran sedangkan informasi
kekuatan tanah dilihat dari besarnya nilai N-SPT lapangan. Stratigrafi tanah berdasarkan masing-masing
titik bor ditunjukkan pada

3.2.1 Borehole BH-01


Berdasarkan data BH-01, kondisi lapisan tanah bawah permukaan pada kedalaman 0-5 meter
merupakan lapisan tanah clayey Silt dengan konsistensi stiff, nilai N-SPT berkisar antara 8-10. Lapisan
kedua pada kedalaman 5-13.8 meter merupakan lapisan tanah Silt dengan konsistensi medium stiff to
stiff, nilai N-SPT berkisar antara 6-8. Lapisan ketiga pada kedalaman 12-13.8 meter merupakan lapisan
clayey Silt dengan konsistensi very stiff, nilai N-SPT 19. Lapisan keempat merupakan lapisan Silt pada
kedalaman 13.8-16.8 meter dengan konsistensi hard, nilai N-SPT berkisar antara 50-56. Lapisan kelima
pada kedalaman 16.8-30 meter merupakan lapisan Breccia, nilai N-SPT berkisar antara 40-60. Muka air
tanah ditemukan pada kedalaman 6.5 meter relatif dari permukaan tanah.
3.2.2 Borehole BH-02
Berdasarkan data BH-02, kondisi lapisan tanah bawah permukaan pada kedalaman 0-3 meter
merupakan lapisan Clay dengan konsistensi medium stiff, nilai N-SPT 5. Lapisan kedua pada kedalaman
3-11 meter merupakan lapisan silty Clay dengan konsistensi stiff, nilai N-SPT berkisar antara 8-10.
Lapisan ketiga pada kedalaman 11-17 meter merupakan lapisan tanah clayey Silt dengan konsistensi
medium stiff to stiff, nilai N-SPT berkisar antara 6-8. Lapisan keempat pada kedalaman 17-20 meter
merupakan lapisan tanah silty Clay dengan konsistensi stiff, nilai N-SPT 13. Lapisan kelima pada
kedalaman 20-26 meter merupakan lapisan tanah Silt dengan konsistensi very stiff, nilai N-SPT berkisar
antara 19-29. Lapisan keenam pada kedalaman 26-30 meter merupakan lapisan tanah Silt dan clayey
Silt dengan konsistensi hard, nilai N-SPT berkisar antara 48-51. Muka air tanah ditemukan pada
kedalaman 9.6 meter relatif dari permukaan tanah.
3.2.3 Borehole BH-03
Berdasarkan data BH-03, kondisi lapisan tanah bawah permukaan pada kedalaman 0-8.6 meter
merupakan lapisan tanah Clay dengan konsistensi stiff, nilai N-SPT berkisar antara 6-10. Lapisan kedua
pada kedalaman 8.6-15 meter merupakan lapisan tanah silty Clay dengan konsistensi stiff, nilai N-SPT
berkisar antara 8-11. Lapisan ketiga pada kedalaman 15-23 meter merupakan lapisan tanah clayey Silt
dengan konsistensi very stiff, nilai N-SPT berkisar antara 17-30. Lapisan keempat pada kedalaman 23-
26.7 meter merupakan lapisan tanah silty Clay dengan konsistensi hard, nilai N-SPT berkisar antara 42-
43. Lapisan kelima pada kedalaman 26.7-30 meter merupakan lapisan tanah Silt dengan konsistensi
hard, nilai N-SPT berkisar antara 53-60. Muka air tanah ditemukan pada kedalaman 16.7 meter relatif
dari permukaan tanah.

3.2.4 Borehole BH-04


Berdasarkan data BH-04, kondisi lapisan tanah bawah permukaan pada kedalaman 0-4 meter
merupakan lapisan tanah clayey Silt dengan konsistensi stiff, nilai N-SPT 10. Lapisan kedua pada
kedalaman 4-5.9 meter merupakan lapisan tanah Silt dengan konsistensi very stiff, nilai N-SPT 19.
Lapisan ketiga pada kedalaman 5.9-8 meter merupakan lapisan tanah Silt dengan konsistensi hard, nilai
N-SPT 44. Lapisan keempat pada kedalaman 8-20 meter merupakan lapisan tanah Breccia dengan nilai
N-SPT 60. Muka air tanah ditemukan pada kedalaman 4 meter relatif dari permukaan tanah.

3.3 Hasil Uji Laboratorium


Selama pengeboran berlangsung, total 10 (sepuluh) sampel UDS berhasil diperoleh. Pengujian
laboratorium dilakukan untuk seluruh sampel UDS yang berhasil diperoleh. Pengujian laboratorium terdiri
dari pengujian Index Properties (water content, specific gravitiy dan unit weight), Atterberg Limit, Grain
Size, Triaxial UU dan Triaxial CU. Hasil pengujian laboratorium ditunjukkan pada LAMPIRAN E.

3.3.1 Index Propereties


Berdasarkan hasil uji laboratorium nilai unit weight (moist) berkisar antara 13.6-16.2 t/m3 dengan nilai
rata-rata 15.4 t/m3 sementara unit weight (dry) berkisar antara 6.9-10.1 t/m3 dan nilai rata-rata 9.1 t/m3.
Specific gravity berkisar antara 2.58-2.70. Nilai moisture content berkisar antara 59-95%. Hasil uji
tersebut ditunjukkan pada Gambar 3.5 dan Gambar 3.6.

3.3.2 Atterberg Limit


Berdasarkan hasil uji Atterberg Limit, nilai Liquid Limit (LL) berkisar antara 61-107%, nilai Plastic Limit
(PL) berkisar antara 40-56%, dan nilai Index Plasticity berkisar antara 17-54%. Berdasarkan Plasticity
Chart, secara umum tanah yang diuji dapat diklasifikasikan sebagai MH or OH. Hasil uji ditunjukkan pada
Gambar 3.7 dan Gambar 3.8.
