Clutch adalah salah satu komponen yang memungkinkan


penghubungan dan pemutusan tenaga
putar dari engine ke gearbox

Beberapa fungsi dari clutch:


-memisahkan hubungan tenaga dari engine ke gear box selama perpindahan gigi
- Meneruskan tenaga /torsi dari engine ke gear box dan kekomponen penghubung lainnya.

Fungsi utama Clutch


1. Transfer torque dari engine ke gearbox dengan maksimal.
2. Memungkin kendaraan dengan kecepatan tinggi tanpa
kerusakan premature
3. Menyerap getaran pada saat starting awal.
4. Dapat digunakan pada perpindahan halus dan cepat.
5. Menyerap getaran Engine.

Fungsi synchronisasi untuk menjamin perpindahan gear pada main shaft dan
intermediate shaft putaranya sama dan telah tereduksi.

Synchronizing operation

Engaging bodi(5) terpasang pada main shaft dengan


splines, coupling sleeve(1) masuk pada bagian luar
engaging body(5). Maksud sleeve ini memindahkan
shyncronizing ring (4) pada enganging body(5)
kedepan sehingga terhubung dengan couling ring(2).
Shincronizing ring(4) ditekan antara engaging body(5)
dan coupling ring (2) oleh coupling sleeve (1) . Hasil
dari pergesekan ini menyesuaikaan kecepatan
engaging body (5) dan coupling sleeve.(1)
Ketika menghasilkan kecepatan yang sama coupling
sleeve(1) terhubung dengan couling ring(2).
Pada posisi ini gear sepenuhnya terhubung ke main
shaft melewati engaging body dan dapat memindahkan
torque dari engine ke driven wheel melalui out put shaft
