 Pengertian
Manajemen persediaan merupakan kegiatan
yang dilakukan oleh suatu perusahaan yang
diperlukan dalam membuat keputusan
sehingga kebutuhan akan bahan baku ataupun
barang untuk keperluan ataupun kegiatan
perusahaan baik produksi maupun penjualan
dapat terpenuhi secara optimal dengan resiko
yang sekecil mungkin .
Fungsi-Fungsi Persediaan
Decoupling

perusahaan dapat memenuhi mempertimbangkan penghematan-
permintaan langganan tanpa
tergantung pada supplier.

Persediaan
 Model-Model Persediaan Untuk Permintaan
Model Persediaan untuk Produk yang Permintaannya bersifat Independen
yakni mengasumsikan bahwa permintaan untuk satu produk tidak berkaitan
dengan permintaan untuk produk lainnya. Biaya-Biaya dalam Persediaan,
antara lain:
● Biaya Pemesanan (OrderingCost), yaitu biaya-biaya yang dikeluarkan
sehubungan dengan pemesanan bahan atau barang seperti biaya pasokan,
formular atau administrasi, pemrosesan pesanan, biaya angkutan, bongkar
muat.
● Biaya Penyimpanan (holding costs atau carrying costs), yaitu biaya-biaya
yang dikeluarkan sehubungan dengan penyimpanan atau penahanan
persediaan untuk jangka waktu tertentu seperti biaya sewa gudang,
asuransi, bunga, penyusutan, listrik.
● Biaya Pemasangan (Set Up Cost), yaitu biaya-biaya untuk mempersiapkan
mesin-mesin atau proses manufaktur dari suatu rencana produksi. Di
banyak organisasi/perusahaan biaya pemasangan berhubungan erat dengan
waktu pemasangan (setup time).
Model Persediaan Ecnomic Order Quantity
Perusahaan harus mampu menentukan berapa jumlah barang yang harus dipesan dan
kapan barang tersebut harus dipesan sehingga meminimunkan biaya total persediaan.
Berikut asumsi-asumsi yang digunakan dalam model persediaan EOQ, yaitu:
1. Tingkat permintaan barang diketahui dengan pasti dan konstan sepanjang waktu.
2. Model yang dikembangkan hanya untuk satu jenis barang (single item) dan tidak
ada interaksi dengan barang lainnya.
3. Pengisian barang persediaan yang segera atau dengan perkataan lain tidak ada
lead time (waktu tunggu) antara waktu pemesanan dengan pengiriman barang.
Jika diasumsikan terjadinya lead time, maka lead time diketahui dan konstan.
4. Tidak diperbolehkan terjadinya kekurangan barang/bahan baku.
5. Jumlah pemesanan yang dilakukan selalu sama untuk setiap pemesanan.
6. Biaya pembelian proporsional dengan banyaknya barang yang dibeli.
7. Biaya penyimpanan bergantung pada rata-rata jumlah barang yang disimpan.

order) yaitu jika perusahan tidak bisa melayani
permintaan karena tidak ada persediaan, maka
perusahaan akan menanggung beban biaya
kekurangan persediaan

Model Persediaan Dengan Potongan Kuantitas
Untuk meningkatkan penjualan, banyak perusahaan yang menawarkan potongan
harga untuk para pelanggan mereka. Quantity discount merupakan pengurangan
harga (P) untuk barang yang dibeli dengan jumlah atau kuantitas yang lebih besar.

Model Persediaan Dengan Penerimaan Bertahap
Suatu model persediaan yang diterapkan ketika persediaan secara terus-menerus mengalir atau
terbentuk sepanjang suatu periode tertentu setelah dilakukan pemesanan atau ketika produk
diproduksi dan dijual pada saat yang bersamaan. Dengan keadaan demikian dapat dimasukkan data
tingkat produksi atau arus persediaan dan permintaan setiap harinya.

 Model Probalistik Dan Persediaan Pengaman
Model probabilistik adalah model persediaan bahan baku yang salah satu atau
lebih parameternya tidak dapat diketahui dengan pasti dan harus diuraikan
dengan distribusi probabilitas. Pertimbangan yang sangat penting di dalam
setiap model probabilistik adalah adanya kemungkinan terjadinya kelebihan
atau kehabisan persediaan (stockouts). Masalah kehabisan persediaan dapat
timbul karena naiknya tingkat pemakaian persediaan yang tidak diharapkan
ataupun waktu penerimaan barang yang lebih lama dari lead time yang
diharapkan.
Masalah kehabisan persediaan dapat dihindari dengan membentuk persediaan
pengaman atau lebih dikenal dengan istilah safety stock, yaitu persediaan yang
diadakan atau persediaan tambahan untuk melindungi atau menjaga
kemungkinan terjadinya kekurangan tersebut. Namun hal tersebut akan
mengakibatkan naiknya biaya persediaan, yaitu biaya simpan untuk cadangan
persediaan. Semakin besar cadangan persediaannya maka akan semakin besar
pula biaya simpannya.
Karena baik demand maupun lead time bersifat probabilistik, maka pada periode waktu setelah pesanan dibuat (reorder point),
atau selama lead time akan terdapat kemungkinan-kemungkinan sebagai berikut:
● Tingkat permintaan (demand) tetap namun periode waktu datangnya pesanan (lead time) berubah-ubah atau tidak tentu.
● Periode waktu datangnya pesanan (lead time) tetap namun tingkat permintaan bahan (demand) berubah-ubah atau tidak
tentu.
● Tingkat permintaan (demand) dan periode waktu datangnya pesanan (lead time) berubah-ubah atau tidak tentu.
Tujuan model probabilistik tersebut adalah untuk menentukan besarnya persediaan pengaman (safety stock) serta untuk
meminimumkan biaya kehabisan bahan dan biaya penyimpanan persediaan pengaman.
 Sistem Periode Tetap
Sistem periode (P) tetap adalah sebuah sistem dimana pesanan persediaan
dilakukan pada selang waktu tertentu secara berkala di tangan di hitung, yang
dipesan hanya sebesar jumlah yang diperlukan untuk menaikkan persediaan
sampai ke tingkat target tertentu.
