TIROTOKSIKOSIS
• Disebabkan oleh hormon tiroid yang berlebih karena:
• Sekresi berlebih dari T3 dan T4 secara endogen; atau
• Konsumsi hormon tiroid sintetik yang berlebih secara eksogen
• Tiroid upregulasi reseptor alpha-adrenergic peningkatan
aktivitas simpatik peningkatan laju metabolism basal &
thermogenesis jaringan
• Efek tiroid:
• Peningkatan ekspresi myocardial sarcoplasmic reticulum calcium-dependent
ATP, denyut jantung, kontraktilitas miokard peningkatan cardiac output
• Penurunan systemic vascular resistance (SVR) & afterload
