SULFONAMIDA?
SULFONAMIDA atau SULFA adalah golongan
antibiotik yang digunakan untuk mengatasi infeksi
bakteri. Sulfonamida bekerja dengan cara
menganggu pembentukan asam folat pada bakteri.

Asam folat sendiri merupakan nutrisi yang

dibutuhkan bakteri untuk membentuk asam nukleat,
DNA, dan RNA, agar bakteri dapat berkembang
biak.

R2 : Alifatik/heterosiklik

SULFAMERAZIN mengandung tidak kurang dari 99,0% dan tidak lebih dari
100,5% C11H12N4O2S, dihitung terhadap zat kering. Berbentuk serbuk atau
hablur putih dan sukar larut dalam air.

 1. UJI ORGANOLEPTIK
CARA :

1. Disiapkan sampel.
2. Dilakukan pengujian organoleptik meliputi bentuk, warna, rasa dan bau.
3. Dicatat hasil pengamatan dan didokumentasikan.

Tujuan dilakukannya uji organoleptik, sebagai berikut :

● Pengawasan mutu terhadap bahan mentah, produk, dan komoditas

● Pengembangan produk dan perluasan pasar
● Perbaikan produk
● Membandingkan produk sendiri dengan produk pesaing
● Evaluasi penggunaan bahan.
 2. UJI KELARUTAN
CARA :

1. Disiapkan 4 buah tabung reaksi untuk setiap sampel, diberi label nama pada setiap tabung reaksi
(NaOH, HCl, Aquadest, Etanol) dan dimasukkan ke dalam rak tabung.
2. Dimasukkan 2 mg sampel ke dalam setiap tabung reaksi.
3. Dilarutkan dengan masing-masing pelarut.
4. Dicatat kelarutan sampel dan didokumentasikan.

Tujuan dilakukannya uji kelarutan yaitu untuk mengetahui kemampuan suatu senyawa dalam larut
dalam suatu pelarut, yang biasanya berupa cairan. Pengujian ini penting untuk menentukan ukuran
dan polaritas senyawa yang tidak diketahui serta keberadaan gugus fungsi asam dan basa.
 3. UJI PENEGASAN
CARA :

1. Disiapkan 3 buah tabung reaksi untuk Sampel A1 dan 3 buah tabung reaksi untuk Sampel A2.
2. Dimasukkan 2 mg sampel ke dalam masing-masing 3 tabung reaksi.
3. Dimasukkan pereaksi spesifik pada masing-masing tabung reaksi sebagai berikut :

Tabung I 2 mg 3 tetes CuSO4 • Sulfanilamida : Endapan putih

• Sulfadiazin : Ungu
Tabung II 2 mg 3 tetes NH4OH • Sulfanilamida : Merah Tua
• Sulfadiazin : Ungu
Tabung III 2 mg 3 tetes Parry • Sulfanilamida : Merah
• Sulfadiazin : Hijau Kotor

4. Dicatat dan didokumentasikan.

Uji penegasan merupakan uji lanjutan dari uji pendahuluan untuk lebih memastikan lagi adanya bakteri coliform dan
colifecal. Media BGLB berfungsi untuk mendeteksi adanya coliform dan colifecal yang dapat menghambat pertumbuhan
bakteri gram positif.
4.UJI GOLONGAN
CARA :
1. Disiapkan alat dan bahan.
2. Dimasukkan 2 mg sampel ke dalam masing-masing tabung reaksi.
3. Ditambahkan Pereaksi Vanilin sebanyak 2-3 tetes pada setiap sampel.
4. Diamati perubahan warna. Sampel positif dari golongan sulfa jika
berwarna cokelat atau cokelat merah.
5. Dicatat hasil pengamatan dan didokumentasikan

Kekurangan & Kelebihan sulfanilamid
sulfanilamid tentu mempunyai kelebihan dan kekurangan

kelebihan antara lain : harganya relatif murah, stabil, dan spektrumnya luas.

kekurangan : konsentrasi tinggi dalam darah menyebabkan kristalisasi

terutama pada ginjal sehingga disarankan dosisnya tidak berlebihan, sering
terjadi efek sampingan pada analog sulfanilamid yang molekulnya sederhana
