• Lahir pada tanggal 12 Mei 1914 di Dallas, Texas.
• 1931 memulai karir sarjananya di Universitas
Tennessee di Knoxvilla.
• 1936 masuk sekolah keperawatan di RSU Knoxville.
• 1936 menerima gelar Diploma Keperawatan.
• 1945 menerima gelar B.S dari George Peabody
Collage di Masville.
• 1945 mendapat gelar MA dalam bidang pengawasan
kesehatan masyarakat dari Fakultas Keguruan
Universitas Columbia, New York.
• 1951 beliau menjadi eksekutif Direktur dari pelayanan
keperawatan di Phoenix, AZ.
• 1952 melanjutkan sekolah di Universitas Johns
Hopkins, Baltimre MD dengan memperoleh gelar
MPH.
• 1954 tahun memperoleh gelar Sc. D.
Biografi Martha E Rogers

• Beliau di tetapkan menjadi Kepala Bagian

Keperawatan di New York University pada tahun
1954. Secara resmi beliau mengundurkan diri
sebagai Profesor dan Kepala Bagian
Keperawatan pada tahun 1975 setelah 21 tahun
dalam pelayanan.
• Pada tahun 1979 beliau pensiun dengan hormat
dengan memakai gelar Profesornya dan terus
aktif mengembangkan dunia keperawatan sampai
beliau meninggal pada 13 maret 1994.

Teori tentang keperawatan

• Menurut Martha E. Roger ilmu tentang keperawatan berhubungan langsung dengan proses kehidupan manusia bertujuan untuk
menjelaskan dan memperkirakan kealamiahan dan hubungannya dengan perkembangan.
• Untuk memperkuat teorinya Martha E. Rogers mengkombinasikan konsep manusia seutuhnya dengan prinsip homeodinamik yang
kemudian dikemukakannya.

Prinsip – prinsip hemodinamika

Teori menyatakan bahwa dalam keperawatan dipergunakan prinsip hemodinamika untuk melayani manusia, yaitu:
• Integritas, adalah proses berhubungan dengan yang menguntungkan antar manusia dan ingkungannya secara berkesinambungan.
• Resonansi, prinsip ini membicarakan tentang alam dan perubahan yang terjadi antar manusia dan lingkungannya.
• Helicy, Prinsip yang menyatakan bahwa keadaan alami berkesinambungan, inovatif, ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan jenis pola -
pola perilaku manusia dan lingkugan.
