 Latar
negara-negara di Afrika terutama terhadap Belakang
kesehatan manusia dan

melibatkan epidemi seperti wabah cacar, influenza, dan lain-lain yang

ditandai dengan tingkat fatalitas kasus yang tinggi dan kerugian ekonomi

yang sangat besar. Penelitian lain menunjukkan bagaimana epidemi virus

Ebola telah berkontribusi pada kematian, serta trauma dan tekanan psiko-

sosial. Kasus virus Ebola ini juga mengalami peningkatan tiap tahun. Hingga

pada tahun 2018 Republik Demokratik Kongo (DRC) mengumumkan wabah

Ebolake-sepuluh mereka dalam 40 tahun yaitu pada 1 Agustus 2018. Wabah

tersebut berpusat di timur laut negara Kongo.

Tinjauan Pustaka
 Pengertian Virus Ebola
Pengertian Ebola : penyakit berbahaya yang disebabkan oleh infeksi virus. Penyakit ini
ditandai dengan gejala demam tinggi, diare, muntah-muntah, dan perdarahan di dalam
tubuh. Virus penyebab penyakit ebola sangat menular dan infeksinya bisa mengancam
nyawa. Sekitar 90% dari pasien yang terinfeksi penyakit ini tidak dapat bertahan hidup.
Penyakit ebola menjadi wabah di negara-negara benua Afrika seperti Kongo, Sudan, dan
Uganda.
 Faktor Resiko
Faktor risiko yang memepengaruhi penularan penyakit virus ebola:
• Riwayat perjalanan dari daerah / negara terjangkit
• Kegiatan selama berada di daerah/ negara terjangkit
• Tidak diberikan vaksin saat berpergian ke daerah endemis.
• Tidak menerapkan pencegahan dan pengendalian infeksi saat penangan
kasus penyakit virus ebola bagi tenaga kesehatan.
 Gejala, tanda dan masa inkubasi
Gejala penyakit virus ebola ini didahului oleh demam yang tiba-tiba, sakit
kepala, nyeri sendi dan otot, lemah, diare, muntah, sakit perut, kurang
nafsu makan, dan perdarahan yang tidak biasa. Dalam beberapa kasus,
pendarahan dalam dan luar dapat terjadi 5 sampai 7 hari setelah gejala
pertama terjadi. Semua penderita yang terinfeksi PVE menderita kesulitan
pembekuan darah. Pendarahan dari selaput mulut, hidung dan
tenggorokan serta dari bekas lubang suntikan terjadi pada 40-50 persen
kasus. Hal ini menyebabkan muntah darah, batuk darah dan berak darah.
Masa inkubasi penyakit ini antara 2 – 21 hari.
Pencegahan virus ebola
•Gunakan masker
•Cuci tangan dengan sabun segera setelah
kontak dengan orang yang memiliki gejala
Jangan menyentuh orang atau cairan
penderita seperti darah, muntahan, tinja
maupun air seni
•Jangan menyentuh jenazah dan jangan
mencuci tangan dengan wadah yang sama
dengan yang digunakan jenazah
Metode Penelitian :
Menggunakan penelitian kualitatif di Republik Demokratik
Kongo selama 2 bulan (dari 1 Agustus hingga 30
September 2019) menggunakan wawancara mendalam
(IDI) dan diskusi kelompok terfokus (FGD). Para peserta
direkrut dari lima blok regional dengan menggunakan
teknik purposive sampling. Kedua daerah yang sedang
mengalami wabah dan daerah yang saat ini tidak terkena
dampak dimasukkan. Kami mengumpulkan pendapat,
pandangan, dan keyakinan peserta tentang virus Ebola. IDI
(n = 60) dilakukan dengan influencer utama (guru sekolah,
pemimpin/analis agama dan politik, dan pekerja garis
depan Ebola), mengikuti panduan wawancara
semiterstruktur. FGD (n = 10) dilakukan dengan anggota
masyarakat. Wawancara direkam dengan perekam suara
digital dan pencatatan secara bersamaan. Tanggapan
