Data World Health Organization 2017
menyatakan bahwa penyebab kematian
utama pada balita di dunia adalah
komplikasi kelahiran premature,
pneumonia, asfiksia lahir, diare. Menurut
WHO 2017 Angka Kematian Neonatal di
Indonesia 13.40 per 1000 kelahiran
hidup, hasil penelitian menunjukan
bahwa penyebab terbanyak AKN di
Indonesia yaitu keahiran prematur
dengan presentase 34,68% (WHO, 2017).

MASALAH
Untuk menghindari kegawatdaruratan pada bayi
premature beberapa upaya yang dilakukan adalah dengan
pemberian alat bantu pernapasan baik ventilasi mekanik
ataupun dengan penggunaan Continous Positive Airway
Pressure (CPAP). Selain itu diperlukan juga intervensi
pendukung contohnya dengan pemberian posisi pronasi
pada bayi tersebut.
