 AJARAN MOKSA
 Moksha berasal dari bahasa Sanskerta, dari akar kata muc yang
berarti membebaskan atau melepaskan. Moksha berarti kelepasan,
kebebasan.
 Moksha adalah tingkatan hidup lepas dari ikatan keduniawian,
kelepasan, bebas dari penjelmaan kembali.
 Pemahaman istilah, kata Moksha dapat disamakan dengan
nirwana, nisreyasa atau keparamarthan. Moksha adalah alamnya
Brahman yang sangat gaib dan berada di luar batas pikiran
manusia. Moksha bisa disamakan dengan Nirguna Brahman.

Dalam ajaran agama disebutkan ada empat jalan untuk mencapai “moksartham jagadhita
ya ca iti dharma” atau moksa yang dikenal dengan Catur Marga Yoga.
 Catur marga yoga yaitu empat jalan umat Hindu untuk menuju moksa

1. Bhakti Marga (Bhakti Yoga)
Jalan menuju moksa dengan cara melakukan
kebaktian yang tekun Kepada Sang Hyang
Widhi Wasa dengan landasan pengabdian yang
tulus iklas.
2. Karma Marga (Karma Yoga)
Jalan menuju moksa dengan cara bekerja atau
berkarya. Seseorang yang menempuh jalan ini,
harus bekerja dengan ketulusan hati tanpa
pamrih.
Jalan menuju moksa dengan cara menekuni
ilmu pengetahuan kerohanian. Jalan ini
dilaksanakan oleh mereka yang memiliki tingkat
pengetahuan yang tinggi dan daya cinta kasih
yang mendalam kepada Tuhan.
4. Yoga Marga (Raja Yoga)
Jalan menuju moksa dengan cara melalui
pengendalian diri dan melaksanakan ajaran
Astangga Yoga. Inti dari ajaran ini adalah
pemusatan pikiran melalu meditasi dan
Samadhi.

Tujuan hidup manusia di dalam agama Hindu

disebut “Purusartha”. “Purusa” berarti manusia,
utama, dan “artha” berarti tujuan. Purusartha
berarti tujuan hidup manusia yang utama.

B. TUJUAN AGAMA HINDU
Tujuan agama Hindu dirumuskan dalam satu kalimat
singkat yaitu “Mokshartham jagadhita yasca iti Dharma” artinya
“Dharma itu untuk mewujudkan Moksha (kebahagiaan) dan
jagadhita (kebaikan/kesejahtraan dunia) masyarakat. Moksha
berarti ketenangan dan kebahagiaan spiritual yang kekal abadi
(suka tan pewali duka). Moksha adalah tujuan terakhir dari umat
Hindu. Kebahagiaan bathin yang terdalam dan langgeng ialah
bersatunya “Atma dengan Brahmana” itu yang disebut Moksha.
Moksha atau Mukti berarti kebebasan roh dari penjelmaan dan
menunggal dengan Tuhan yang sering disebut dengan “Kelepasan”
 TANTANGAN DAN HAMBATAN
DALAM MENCAPAI MOKSA DIZAMAN “GLOBALISASI”

1. Menjauhkan Diri dari Keterikatan Materialistis

Mengumpulkan harta-benda material untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup yang berkecukupan
dalam kehidupan ini merupakan hal yang baik,namun apabila kekayaan yang kita kumpulkan membuat
orang lain menjadi menderita adalah tindakan yang kurang terpuji. seperti koruptor, pemeras, membuat
masyarakat miskin dan menderita adalah tindakan yang sangat bertentangan dengan tujuan hidup
“Moksa”.
2. Sumber Daya Manusia Yang Kurang Berkualitas
Menjadi orang yang kreatif, rajin, tekun, dan cekatan yang
bernafaskan keagamaan dan kemanusiaan dapat mengantarkan yang
bersangkutan mampu mewujudkan kebahagiaan hidupnya. Namun
apabila sebaliknya, seperti rajin, tekun, pekerja keras hanya untuk
memenuhi ambisi semata, lupa dengan kewajiban hidup beragama
tentu berakibat tidak baik, dan sekaligus dapat mengantarkan yang
bersangkutan menjadi insan yang menderita.
 3. Pendidikan Rendah

Saat pendidikan seseorang tentang agama

rendah, itu akan menghambatnya menuju
moksa, pendidikan agama sangat penting agar
kita bisa mendekatkan diri kepada tuhan dan
akhirnya menempuh jalan kebenaran
 Orang Yang Dipandang Mampu Mencapai Moksa

Dapat mewujudkan catur purusãrtha dalam hidup dan kehidupan ini adalah
kewajiban utama setiap individu umat sedharma. Kesejahtraan adalah terpenuhinya kebutuhan
bhoga, upabhoga dan paribhoga selama hidup menjadi manusia. Sedangkan kebahagiaan batin
adalah terpenuhinya kebutuhan rohani selama hidup dan berkehidupan termasuk bersatunya
atman dengan Brahman yang disebut Moksha.
Tujuan tertinggi umat Hindu ini dapat dicapai dengan mempedomani, menghayati,
dan mengamalkan ajaran agama dalam kehidupan sehari-hari secara baik dan benar.
Melaksanakan persembahyangan, olah batin dengan menetapkan cipta (dharana), memusatkan
cipta (dhyana) dan mengheningkan cipta (semadhi) merupakan bagian dari aktivitas menuju
Moksha.

Seorang keturunan brahmana (Brahmana
wangsa) bernama Nirartha adik dari Danghyang
Angsoka, putra dari Danghyang Asmaranatha.
Ketika Sang Nirartha sedang muda jejaka beliau
mengambil istri, di Daha, putri dari Danghyang
Panawaran yaitu golongan keturunan Bregu di
Geria Mas Daha bernama Ida Istri Mas. Setelah
bersuami-istri, Sang Nirartha dilantik (diniksa)
oleh Danghyang Penawaran menjadi pendeta
(Brahmana janma) diberi gelar Danghyang
