CARA KERJA
Kode yang dianggil kode transporder disimpan dalam memori transponder. Dan kode tersebut didaftarkan denganECM. Pada dasarnya, ketika kunci kontak posisi ON, ECM membaca kode tersebut melalui coil antenna. Kemudian, bila kode transponder di dalam kunci kontak tidak sesuai dengan kode yang didaftarkan dengan ECM, ECM menghentikan kerja fuel injection dan Ignition Coil assy. sehingga mesin tidak dapatbekerja dan lampu indikator immobilizer berada pada kondisi ON dan OFF melalu isaluran komunikasi CAN
PENCEGAHAN
Jangan meng ON kan kunci kontak jika bersentuhan atau cukup dekat dengan kunci lain. Mesin tidak dapat hidup.
Jangan meng ON kunci kontak ketika terdapat logam disekitarnya (terbungkus) kunci 1. Mesin tidak dapat di starter.
PENCEGAHAN (Lanjutan)
Jangan menempatkan kunci kontak pada tempat bersuhu tinggi,akan merusak transponder.
Jangan memutar kunci kontak ke posisi ON saat antena radio dekat dengan coil antena Mesin tidak dapat hidup.
Keyless Start : Menghidupkan dan mematikan mesin tanpa menggunakan kunci kontak.

2-6.Warning Function
Condition Buzzer Keyless start indicator light Ignition knob switch has stopped between ACC and OFF Beeping repeatedly Not lit position while driver door is opened. Ignition switch has stopped between ACC and OFF while Beeps twice Red light blinking driver door is closed. While engine is running or IG switch is ON, the keyless remote controller was taken out of the car and a door was opened and closed. Beeps 3 times Red light blinking While engine is running, keyless start remote controller was taken out of the car and vehicle speed changed from "below 10km/h" to "over 10km/h". (Warning occurs only once.) Engine start knob (push switch) is pressed with remote controller outside the car or without key registration. Not beep Red light ON

Safety Function 1)Door request switch is neglected in the following cases -Keyless remote controller is out of operation range (colored zone in figure above). -Keyless remote controller is inside the cabin -Ignition key remains inside the ignition key cylinder -A door is open 2)All doors will be locked if 30 seconds passed without opening the door after unlocking.

(a)Press door request switch (2,8 or 11). (b)KST control module (6) activates antennas (9, 10) and starts communication inside the cabin. (c)If remote controller (1) is outside the cabin, KST control module (6) activates the door antenna (3,7 or 12). Then a request signal is sent to remote controller (1). But remote controller (1) is out of range of antenna nearest the person who touched door request SW.

Safety Function 1)Engine never starts with keyless start remote controller outside the light green zone shown above. 2)Engine never starts with unregistered key.
DTC check without TECH2: Short DN to body ground DTC clear without TECH2: -Disconnect RADIO fuse for 20 seconds or more or -Disconnect (-) cable at battery for 20 seconds or more
