The purpose of this study is to determine the magnitude of the effect of work safety
on employee performance on PT. PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Pembangunan II
Medan. The formulation of the problem in this research are: "Whether Safety Is
Already Serves Employee Performance on PT. PLN (Persero) Unit Induk
Pembangunan II Medan. The process of collecting data is done by literature and
field research through questionnaires, the method of data analysis is done by
descriptive method and simple method of analysis, with the object of research is
limited to work safety variable as independent variable and employee
performance as dependent variable. Samples were taken as many as 30
Respondents.
The analysis method used is simple linear regression analysis Y = 6,541 +
0,771X, where the constant value equal to 6,541 which means show that if
variable of constant then level of employee performance variable positive value
that is equal to 0,771 which mean if work safety have increase equal to 1 percent
hence performance employees will experience an increase of 0.771, these two
variables have a positive relation between each employee's performance and has
a significant value is 0.000 <from 0.005. Result of t test analysis yield t value is
equal to 7,366 bigger than tTabel value equal to 2,763, meaning work safety
variable have significant effect to employee performance. Work safety variable
able to explain employee performance change at PT. PLN (Persero) Unit Induk
Pembangunan II Medan. from coefficient of determination (R2) equal to 66,0%
and the rest equal to 34,0% explained by other variable not included in this
research model. The hypothesis in this study is "Safety Affects Positive and
Significant to Employee Performance". As for and feedback to the leadership to
be more effective and intense to the training, which later will be expected to
further improve the effectiveness of employee performance.
