ABSTRACT
The results of the research show that every informant in this study has
different motives, meanings and communication experience. Where the motive
underlies them to be Social Climber. The motives are: a) The desire to become a
socialite; b) Looking for Popularity. While the meaning that emerged include: a)
entertainment; b) express themselves. From the results of the study also revealed
that the communication experience is based on the front stage that are: selective
social interaction, posting on social media and backstage with interaction
directly.
