Review text adalah salah satu jenis teks yang isinya merupakan evaluasi atau penilaian dari
suatu karya seperti buku,film, pertunjukan , dll
Fungsi : untuk memberikan kritik atas kualitas sebuah karya atau benda baik segi kelebihan
maupun kekurangan yang dimiliki
Tujuan : untuk mengevaluasi, mengkritisi dan memberi saran terhadap sebuah karya. Selain
itu juga sebagai informasi bagi pembaca mengena karya yang akan diulas, Selain itu juga kita
bias mempengaruhi orang untuk suka atau tidak suka terhadap suatu karya

Generic Structure
1. Imtroduction / orientation : berisikan pengenalan terhadap pokok atau gambaran
umum tentang sebuah karya atau benda spesifik yang akan ditinjau. Gambaran umum
tersebut bias berupa nama, kegunaan dsb
2. Evaluation : berisi istilah yang umum digunakan dalam struktur ini adalah mengenai
baik atau tidaknya karya atau benda yang ditinjau, antara lain menceritakan tentang
kelebihan, kekurangan keunikan dan kualitas serta hal2 yang membuatnya menarik.
3. Interpretation : penulis bias memberikan pendapat pribadi atau pandangan terhadap
karya atau benda yang ditinjau. Tentu saja fase ini dilakukan stelah melalui evaluasi
yang cukup terhadap karya atau barang tersebut. Bisa juga penulis membandingkan
dengan karya yang lain
4. Summary : penulis memberikan kesimpulan mengenai karya atau benda yang diulas
berharga atau tidak untuk calon pembeli

3. Menggunakan adjective ( kata sifat )

Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix
I absolutely love the Harry Potter series, and all of the books will always hold a special place in my
heart.
I have to say that of all the books, however, this one was not my favorite.
When the series began it was as much of a “feel good” experience as a huge mug of hot cocoa. The
stories were bright, fast-paced, intriguing, and ultimately satisfying.
Order of the Phoenix is a different kind of book. In some instances this works you feel a whole new
level of intensity and excitement by the time you get to the end. I was truly moved by the last page.
Other times the book just has a slightly dreary, depressing feel. The galloping pace of the other
books has slowed to a trot here, and parts of it do seem long, as if we’re reading all about Harry “just
hanging out” instead of having his usual adventures. Reading in detail about Harry cleaning up an
old house, for example – housekeeping is still housekeeping, magical or no, and I’m not very
interested in doing it or reading about other people doing it.
A few other changes in this book – the “real” world comes much more in to play rather than the
fantasy universe of the previous books, and Harry has apparently been taken off his meds. I know
that he had a lot to be grumpy in this book, especially with being a teenager and all, but the sudden
change in his character seemed too drastic. He goes from being a warm-hearted, considerate
person to someone who will bite his best friend’s heads off over nothing. It just seemed like it didn’t
fit with his character, like he turned into a walking cliché of the “angry teen” overnight. The “real”
story seemed to happen in the last 1/3 of the book, and this part I loved. I actually liked the ending
(and yes, I cried!) as sad as it was. It packed a punch and it made me care about the story even
more. Still a really good book, with some editing it would have been great

“Baby” Justin Bieber
“BABY” represents more of the same from Justin Bieber. It’s a squeaky-clean song that finds the
singer once again pouring his heart out to a girl he likes.
Though his crush breaks his heart in the end. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” seems to be Justin Bieber’s
motto, since most of his songs — including “Baby” — sound very similar.
Here, Bieber falls back on the heavy synth-presence and formulaic pop beats that characterize his
entire last album. Though his vocals and I-want-to-be-sweet-to-you approach are still somewhat
endearing, the pattern is starting to wear thin. The most interesting part of the song is the Ludacris
verse.
Did you know Justin says “Baby” exactly 55 times in the song. The lyrics aren’t the most clever
we’ve ever heard, weI’ve heard worse, but it just repeats “Bay-be, bay-be, bay-be ohh” Not the best
hit in my standers, but some like it, and thats perfectly fine

like me.
