LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas)
LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas)
merupakan gas hydrocarbon hasil dari
kilang minyak atau kilang/sumur gas
yang komponen utamanya adalah gas
propane (C3H8) dan gas butane
(C4H10).

LPG Mixed merupakan campuran dari


hydrocarbon komponen utamanya
propane (C3) dan butane (C4).

LPG (baik LPG mixed, propane dan


butane dapat berada dalam keadaan
cair (liquefy) bila dalam kondisi
bertekanan (pressurized) atau
didinginkan (refrigerated).

 Gassing Up dilakukan untuk tipe kapal LPG Pressurized

 Gassing Up tanki kapal dilaksanakan dengan mengalirkan vapour LPG


Mixed untuk purging Nitrogen yang ada didalam tanki kapal kemudian
dialirkan liquid LPG Mixed secara perlahan.

 Gassing Up umumnya dilakukan di tengah laut (anchor) dengan terlebih


dahulu mengisi vapour/liquid dari darat.

 Cool down tanki dilaksanakan untuk mencegah terjadinya thermal stress


pada tanki dan system sebelum dilakukan aktivitas loading LPG Refrigerated.

 Cooling down tanki kapal dilaksanakan dengan mengalirkan vapour LPG


propane untuk purging Nitrogen yang ada didalam tanki kemudian dialirkan
liquid propane secara perlahan.

 Cool down ini dilakukan sampai temperature tanki kapal mencapai ± -40 oC
dan kapal sudah siap untuk loading LPG.
