Penjelasan
Singkat Tentang Pengelolaan Sampah Daerah

Berdasarkan Undang-Undang Nomor 18 Tahun 2008 tentang Pengelolaan Sampah /

Limbah Padat, tanggung jawab Pengelolaan Sampah Domestik (PSD) ini di Indonesia

dilakukan oleh Pemerintah Daerah (kotamadya atau kabupaten)

Pertumbuhan penduduk yang cepat disebabkan oleh urbanisasi, industri, sejalan dengan

pertumbuhan dan kompleksitas PSD kota.

Beberapa masalah Pengelolaan Sampah di Kota dan Kabupaten adalah:- Anggaran

terbatas untuk PSD- Penaganan Penimbunan Kurang tepat atau landfilling- Kurangnya

Menguasai Teknologi yang tepat- Kurangnya Partisipasi Masyarakat / Pribadi-

Ketersediaan lahan yang terbatas terutama untuk Perkotaan

Kemungkinan kerja sama antara pemerintah daerah, pemerintah provinsi dan swasta /

investor dalam Pengelolaan Sampah Daerah
