Gambar 10.1.

diselidiki. Pada frekuensi rendah, ω ≈ 0, ∴ Vo ≈ Vi, yaitu sebagian besar Vi muncul pada output
melintasi kapasitor. Ketika ω → ∞, Vo → 0, maka amplitudo tegangan keluaran sangat
(6.3)
dan fase diberikan oleh:
(6.4)
Untuk ω ≈ 0, A → 0 and ϕ ≈ 0
Untuk ω → ∞, A → 0 and ϕ → -π/2
Untuk ω = 1/T, A = 1/√2 = 0,7071 and ϕ → -π/4 = -45O
Penggambaran respon ditunjukkan pada gambar 10.2
Gambar 10.3.
cut-off.

Derive expressions for the magnitude and phase responses of the series RC network of Figure 6.6,
and sketch their characteristics.
(6.5)
(6.6)
(6.7)
We can obtain a quick sketch for the magnitude |G(jω)| versus ω by evaluating (6.6) at ω = 0 ,
ω = 1/RC and ω → ∞ . Thus,
As ω → 0 , |G(jω)| = 1
For ω = 1/RC , |G(jω)| = 1 / √2 = 0,707
And as ω → ∞ , |G(jω)| ≈ 0
We will use the MATLAB code below to plot |G(jω)|versus radian frequency . This is shown in
Figure 6.7 where, for convenience, we let RC = 1 .
w=0:0.02:10; RC=1; magGs=1./sqrt(1+w.*RC); semilogx(w,magGs); grid
At ω → 0 , θ = -atan(0) = 00 .
For ω = 1/RC , θ = -atan(1) = -450 .
For ω = -1/RC , θ = -atan(-1) = 450 .
For ω → -∞ , θ = -atan(-∞) = 900 .
For ω → ∞ θ = -atan(∞) = -900 .
We will use the MATLAB code below to plot the phase angle versus radian frequency . This is
shown in Figure 6.7 where, for convenience, we let RC = 1.
w=-8:0.02:8; RC=1; argGs=−atan(w.*RC).*180./pi; plot(w,argGs); grid
Figure 6.9.
• All frequencies below fc are significantly attenuated (Ideally)
• Passes all frequencies above fc (Ideally)
• Practically, response is limited due to Op-Amps or other components of filter.

Example 6.2
karakteristiknya.
(6.8)
(6.9)
(6.10)
We can obtain a quick sketch for the magnitude |G(jω)| versus ω by evaluating (6.9) at ω = 0 ,
ω = 1/RC and ω → ∞ . Thus,
As ω → 0 , |G(jω)| = 0
For ω = 1/RC , |G(jω)| = 1 / √2 = 0,707
And as ω → ∞ , |G(jω)| ≈ 1
We will use the MATLAB code below to plot |G(jω)|versus radian frequency ω. This is shown in
Figure 6.12 where, for convenience, we let RC = 1.
w=0:0.02:100; RC=1; magGs=1./sqrt(1+1./(w.*RC).^2); semilogx(w,magGs); grid
We can also obtain a quick sketch for the phase angle, i.e., θ = arg{G(jω)} versus ω, by
evaluating (6.10) at ω = 0 , ω = 1/RC , ω = -1/RC , ω → -∞ , ω → ∞ . Thus,
At ω → 0 , θ = -atan(0) = 00 .
For ω = 1/RC , θ = -atan(1) = -450 .
For ω = -1/RC , θ = -atan(-1) = 450 .
For ω → -∞ , θ = -atan(-∞) = 900 .
For ω → ∞ θ = -atan(∞) = -900 .
We will use the MATLAB code below to plot the phase angle θ versus radian frequency ω. This is
shown in Figure 6.13 where, for convenience, we let RC = 1.
Other low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, and band-elimination passive filters consist of combinations
of resistors, inductors, and capacitors. They are given as exercises in another chapter.
