Class : A4BIR
LESSON PLANS
Students are able to identify the expression of an offer to do something
Students are able to identify expressions of responding to someone's offer. When we
know someone is in trouble, we usually offer to help them.
Students are able to identify the social function of conditional sentences
Students are able to identify conditional sentences that express certain actions/events that
will be fulfilled in the future as long as certain actions occur.
Based on the answers from the interviewees, the most common obstacles found were big
holes in vocabulary which of course sounded very foreign to them, apart from that were
grammar and pronunciation with the same cause. 2:5 experienced a misunderstanding by
assuming that learning English was only to live up to the subjects prepared by the school,
even though English is an international language that really deserves to be learned. then, in
the required skill section, most answered speaking as the most needed skill.
Learning activities are carried out with an allocation of 120 minutes with the following
details:
30 minutes of material delivery by the teacher
15 minutes to understand the material
20 minutes of presentation/explanation of material by students
20 minutes for practice related to material that has been delivered by the students
themselves
20 minutes divide into groups for innovative learning tools such as playing games related
to the material
Closing 15 minutes (submission of learning conclusions by the teacher)
Most students consider English subjects to be boring because they are too monotonous,
some of them suggest a more relaxed type of learning so they can at least enjoy the material
provided, there are also suggestions for using ice breaking as a trigger for enthusiasm.
The starter at the beginning of teaching can be in the form of playing one or several
videos related to the material so that their brains can warm up and get an overview of the
material to be provided.
For closing it can be in the form of a simple quiz, for example students are lined up
before leaving class and given questions about today's material, those who can answer
correctly may go home smoothly, while those who answer incorrectly will return to the back
row until they get their turn to answer again until right.
