Permainan bola kecil adalah salah satu permainan dari cabang olahraga yang
memanfaatkan bola kecil sebagai bahan permainannya karena biasanyadapat
menggunakan bahan atau alat bantu yang berupa pukulan yang dapat dimainkan
dalam beregu.

Macam-macam permainan bola kecil diantaranya adalah tenis meja, permainan

softball, bulu tangkis, permainan bilyard, permainan golf, dan permainan kasti

dua regu dengan cara melempar, menangkap, dan memukul
bola kasti dengan tongkat.

Sejarah Permainan Bola Kasti
Kasti = baseball ?
 Sejarah Kasti
John Newbery (1485-1603) yang menuliskan buku
berjudul A Little Pretty Pocket Book,  menyatakan,
permainan kasti dikaitkan dengan baseball.
Meskipun istilah baseball telah ada di Inggris
sebelum permainan bola kasti ada, namun banyak
yang meyakini bahwa permainan bola kasti sudah
lebih dulu ada sebelum baseball dikenalkan.

Permainan ini kemudian menjadi sangat populer di

Britania Raya setelah aturan bola kasti secara
resmi disusun di Irlandia pada tahun 1884
oleh Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA).  Berbagai
usia dan kalangan menggemari permainan ini, tak
terkecuali perempuan.
