Conditional sentence type 1 atau first conditional adalah possible situation the
present of future atau bisa dikatakan dengan sebuah pernyataan yang
kemungkinan bisa terjadi atau tidak dimasa sekarang atau dimasa yang akan
datang (kemungkinan besar)

Example: 1. if it rains, i will not come to your house.

[jika hujan, aku tidak akan datang kerumahmu]

2. if i study hard, i will pass the exam

[jika aku belajar giat, aku akan lulus ujian]
Bagian conditional clause (if + condition) menggunakan simple present tense,
sedangkan bagian main clause (result) menggunakan simple future tense “will”
atau imperative (bare infinitive atau infinitive tanpa to).If-clause dapat
menempati awal atau tengah kalimat. Ketika if-clause menempati awal kalimat,
koma ditempatkan sebelum main clause. If … not dapat digantikan dengan
unless.

Pattern:
> if + simple present, subject + will + bare infinitive

> subject + will + bare infinitive/verb 1, if + present tense

Present tense
Untuk membentuk kalimat tense, biasanya digunakan kata kerja bentuk dasar
atau Verb 1. Kecuali untuk kata ganti orang ketiga, menggunakan Verb 1 + s/es.

Example:
• If you are here, I will tell you my feelings. 

Fakta: Kalau kamu ada di sini, mungkin aku berani mengungkapkan

perasaanku. Kalau nggak ada? Yah, nggak aku ungkapin.

• Anto will come if Putri invites him to her birthday party.

Fakta: Anto bakalan datang ke pesta Putri jika diundang. Kalau

nggak? Anto mungkin nggak datang.
•If Desi and Ratu have their dinner late, they will catch a cold.

Fakta: Desi dan Ratu nggak akan masuk angin jika mereka makan malam tepat
waktu.

Tipe first conditional ini bisa menggunakan selain will untuk mengungkapkan

kondisi yang mungkin terjadi. Kamu bisa juga memakai can,
may, atau shall. Jadi, rumus yang digunakan adalah subject + 
modal (will, can, may, shall) + verb 1.

“do/does/did” untuk membentuk negative sentence.
