How to Make Scrambled Eggs
Pengertian Let’s learn how to make yummy scrambled eggs at

Procedure text adalah teks yang memuat langkah-
Ingredients:

bermacam-macam, seperti resep makanan atau  2 eggs

Selain procedure text, ada banyak lagi, loh, jenis-jenis teks dalam bahasa Inggris. Contohnya adalah 
descriptive text , report text, dan narrative text. 
 
Aspek-Aspek Procedure Text
Pada penulisan Procedure Text dalam bahasa Inggris, terdapat setidaknya dua aspek yang perlu dipahami dan pelajari. 
1. Text Organization of Procedure Text
Procedure Text terdiri dari 3 bagian, lho! Apa saja ya bagian dari Procedure Text? Yuk lihat penjelasannya pada gambar
di bawah ini! 
2. Language Features of Procedure Text
Setelah mengetahui aspek-aspek yang terdapat pada Procedure Text, sekarang yuk pelajari tentang fitur-fitur
bahasanya. Ada fitur bahasa apa saja, ya? Yuk kita bahas!
Simple Present Tense
Procedure Text harus ditulis dengan menggunakan Simple Present Tense, Squad. Hal ini dikarenakan
dalam Procedure Text terdapat kalimat-kalimat fakta mengenai pembuatan atau penggunaan sesuatu. 
Kalimat perintah (Imperative Sentences)
Hayo, kira-kira contoh kalimat perintah dalam Procedure Text apa saja, ya? Yap, contohnya adalah add 3 onions
and mix it well with the dough. Jangan lupa ya, kalimat perintah harus diawali dengan kata kerja (verb). Contohnya
adalah heat, stir, mix, add, boil, plug in, dan sebagainya.
Kata penghubung (Connectives)
Kata penghubung (connectives) digunakan sebagai penghubung antara satu kegiatan dengan kegiatan yang lain,
contohnya firstly, secondly, then, after that, finally, last, dan sebagainya.
Kata keterangan (Adverbs)
Kata keterangan(adverbs) digunakan untuk memberikan keterangan waktu, seperti: in 10 minutes, for 1 hour,
during the first half hour. Selain itu, dapat digunakan juga untuk memberikan keterangan cara (manner),
contohnya slowly, thoroughly, well, fast, dan lain-lain. 
Beberapa procedure text yang bisa ditemukan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yaitu;
 petunjuk arah: bagaimana cara mencapai suatu tempat. Instruksi yang dituliskan harus sangat spesifik termasuk nama dan judul
lokasi. Bahasa formal dan penambahan gambar peta bisa membuat instruksi petunjuk arah jadi lebih mudah dipahami.
 instruksi: Instruksi berarti menunjukkan bagaimana cara melakukan sesuatu. Sebetulnya mirip dengan resep masakan. Bahasa yang
digunakan tentunya harus disesuaikan dengan pembaca.
 resep masakan: Resep masakan berisi bagaimana cara memasak sesuatu. Resep adalah salah satu teks yang universal. Bahan-bahan
dan alat-alat serta visual tentunya sangat penting untuk disematkan pada resep masakan.
 petunjuk permainan: Kamu pasti pernah membeli sebuah mainan dan terdapat petunjuk cara memainkannya. Teks petunjuk
permainan biasanya menggunakan gaya bahasa yang mudah dimengerti.
 buku manual: Buku manual biasanya didapat setelah membeli alat elektronik dan bahkan kendaraan. Berisi tentang bagaimana cara
mengoperasikan barang tersebut, peringatan-peringatan yang harus diketahui. Buku manual harus ditulis dengan sespesifik mungkin.
 agenda: Agenda biasanya dibuat ketika ingin mengadakan acara. Pesta ulang tahun, pernikahan. liburan dan lain-lain. Biasanya berisi
dengan kegiatan-kegiatan apa yang akan dilakukan dan waktu pelaksanaannya.
 Generic Structure Procedure Text
Setiap jenis teks tentunya memiliki generic structure, untuk procedure text generic structurenya sangat berbeda dengan
teks lain.
1. Goal atau tujuan
Goal atau tujuan dari procedure text sudah terletak pada judulnya, how to make cookie, how to clean sneakers dan lain
sebagianya.
2. Bahan-bahan atau material
Setelah tahu tujuan dari teks tersebut, akan ada alat atau bahan-bahan yang digunakan untuk melakukan langkah
selanjutnya. Contoh dari material membuat kue misalnya tepung, telur, cetakan kue, mentega dan lain-lain.
3. Steps atau langkah-langkah
tahap selanjutnya akan berisi langkah-langkah bagaimana cara melakukan sebuah tugas tersebut. Misalnya, campurkan
bahan-bahan kering untuk membuat kue. Setelah itu aduk dengan merata.
 Contoh Procedure Text lainnya
Setelah mengetahui pengertian, tujuan sampai fitur bahasa yang ada di procedure text, berikut adalah contoh dari
procedure text supaya bisa lebih memahami teks ini lebih lanjut.
