 01. Pengertian Asbabun
Nuzul Al-Qur’an

Secara etimologi asbab al nuzul terdiri dari

kata “asbab” (bentuk jamak dari kata
“sababa”) yang artinya sebab-sebab. Sedang
kata “nuzul” berasal dari kata “nazala” yang
berarti turun. Asbab Al-Nuzul adalah sebab-
sebab diturunkannya ayat Al-Qur’an.

Menurut istilah atau secara terminologi

Asbabun Nuzul terdapat banyak pengertian,
diantaranya Menurut Az-Zarqani “Asbab
an-Nuzul adalah hal khusus atau sesuatu
yang terjadi serta hubungan dengan
turunnya ayat al-Qur’an yang berfungsi
sebagai penjelas hukum pada saat peristiwa
itu terjadi”.

1. Ta’addud Al-Asbab Wa Al-Nazil Wahid

Asbabun nuzul Ta’addud Al-Asbab Wa Al-Nazil
2. Ta’adud An-Nazil Wa Al-Asbab Wahid
Wahid adalah beberapa sebab yang hanya
Asbabun nuzul Ta’adud an-nazil wa al-asbab wahid
melatarbelakangi turunnya satu ayat atau wahyu. Ada
merupakan satu sebab yang mendasari turunnya
kalanya wahyu turun untuk menanggapi beberapa
beberapa ayat. Misalnya, Q. S. Ad-dukhan ayat 10, 15,
peristiwa atau sebab, misalnya turunnya Q.S. Al-
dan 16.

Asbabun nuzul dari ayat-ayat tersebut terjadi ketika

Asbabun Al-Nuzul
Para sahabat dalam menuturkan
sebab nuzul menggunakan
ungkapan yang berbeda antara
suatu peristiwa dengan peristiwa
lainnya.
Redaksi yang jelas (sahih) menunjukkan sebab
nuzul ini dibagi menjadi 4 tingkatan :
● Diungkapkan dengan bahasa sebab seperti: sababu
nuzuli al-ayah kadza (sebab turunnya ayat ini
adalah...) ini adalah redaksi yang jelas-jelas
mengandung pengertian penyebab diturunkannya
sebuah ayat, dan tidak memiliki kemungkinan
makna lain.
● Diungkapkan dengan fa’ jawab, setelah
menerangkan peristiwa terkait dengan penurunan
ayat
● Jawaban Rasul Saw. atas sebuah pertanyaan yang
diajukan kepada beliau. Jawaban ini tidak
diungkapkan dengan menggunakan redaksi sebab
atau fa’jawab tapi dapat dipahami dari konteks
pertanyaan dan berdasarkan ayat yang diturunkan
● Redaksi yang tidak jelas menunjukkan makna
sebab nuzul (ghair sharih), tidak menggunakan
bahasa sebab, tidak menggunakan hurup fa’ jawab
dan tidak dalam konteks jawaban Rasul atas
sebuah pertanyaan yang diajukan kepadanya.
 Pada sisi lain ada juga ayat yang
diturunkan karena kejadian yang sangat

Asbabun Nuzul
Jika ayat yang diturunkan bersifat
khusus dan hanya terkait dengan
konteks (sebab) penurunannya serta
redaksi ayatnya tidak bersifat umum,
maka ayat tersebut hanya berlaku
untuk dan pada konteks (sebab) yang
melatarbelakangi penurunan ayat
