Arsitektur kebangsaan adalah hasil tatanan budaya masyarakat/ manusia yang emndiami wilayah nusantara ini. Bentuk dan
wujudnya adalah hasil pemikiran dari kecerdikan dan kepandaian mereka dalam melihat alam lingkungan geografisnya, dan berlanjut
sampai sekarang.

Peradaban bangsa ini berjalan seirimh dengan perkembangan budaya masyarakat, dan arsitektur tentunya. Hal ini yang
menjadikan bentuk fisik spasial serta tradisi yang beragam dlam kehidupan berarsitektur.

Pemahaman mengenai arsitektur tradisinal telah banyak
mengalami perkembangan makna dan arti. Arsitektur sebagai
produk kebudayaan akan mencerminkan peradaban
masyarakat setempat. Wujud fisik kebudayaannya dikenal
dengan arsitektur tradisional.
Sedangakan arsitektur nusantara mempunyai kandungan
keilmuan manusia dan alam yang didasari oleh prinsip-
prinsip ke-Tuhanan. Dalam arsitektur nusantara media
manusia dan lingkungannya menjadi salah satu pegangan
dalam mengembangkan arsitektur yang berkelanjutan.

hasil komunikasi antara alam, manusia dan arsitektur. Komposisi komponen-komponen alam tropis

Dominasi perpaduan antar arsitektur yang mereka bawa dari
negeri belanda berpadu dengan bentuk sserta tatanan arsitektur
yang terdapat dalam arsitektur nusantara ini. Dalam
perjalanannya, muncul pejabat yang diberikan oleh arsitek
belanda hendrik petrus berlage yang menyatakan terdapat dua
kelompok tentang pemakaian seni budaya lokal dalam
bangunan.
 Kelompok pertama merujuk kepada arus gerakan EKLEKTISMEEROPA ABAD ke-19 serta menghendaki seni

bangunan Eropa jugadiberlakukan di daerah koloni. Kelompok kedua mereka lebihmengharapkannya adanya
kepekaan terhadap seni bangunan lokal(Nusantara) yang mengarah pada munculnya arsitektur baru, yakni Indo-
Eropa.
Kelompok pertama diwakili oleh
M.J.Hulswitt,danEdCuypers,jelas mengutamakan peradaban dari Barat dan berorientasi kepadaseni bangunan
Belanda. Kelompok kedua diwakili oleh C.P. WolffSchoemaker, Henri Maclaine Pont dan H.T. Karsten.
Penjelasannya adalahbahwa pentingnya pemahaman seni budaya Nusantara, yang meliputifaktor konstruksi
bangunan, kesehatan dan ekonomi. Intinya, adalah senibudaya lokal/Nusantara juga mempunyai karakteristik

sendiri sepertihalnya pada seni bangsa Barat.

Arsitektur Nusantara seharusnya karya-karyanya memiliki karya yang seragam dengan
ciri-ciri yang cukup jelas mewakili citra per wilayah Indonesia. Karena negara kita adalah
negara kepulauan dan setiap pulau memiliki kebudayaan sebagai ciri dari kesukuan mereka.
Ada beberapa hal yang dapat mempengaruhi bentuk/wujud bangunan arsitektur yaitu:
• Agama
• Budaya dan Adat istiadat atau Tradisi sehari-hari,

• Filosofi dan cara pandang hidup dari tiap suku
• Iklim.
Dari sisi Agama, masuknya agama hindu dan budha banyak meninggalkan bangunan
maupun budaya yang sangat mempengaruhi bentuk arsitektur bangunan, seperti artifak benda
bersejarah dan lingkungan serta Budaya adat istiadat.

KONSEP RUANG
Indonesia memiliki keanekaragaman budaya baik berupa fisik maupun non-fisik.Salah satunya
Arsitektur Tradisional yang berupa bentuk rumah tradisional dan bangunan lainnya yang beragam
dan tersebar di seluruh nusantara.
Secara Morfologi yang lebih menekankan pada pembahasan bentuk geometrik dalam
mengindetifikasi karakteristik lingkungan yang diwujudkan melalui bentuk bangunan. Menurut
CHING, FDK (1979) sistem tata nilai kekurangan bisa tercipta dengan adanya 3 (tiga) hal, yaitu :

Konsep bangunan tradisional dipengaruhi oleh konsep
budaya yang kental dan yang dikaitkan dengan
tubuh manusia terdiri dari Kepala, badan, kaki.
Secara Umum Konsep rumah panggung yang terdiri
dari Kepala, badan, kaki lebih mendominasi. Hal
tersebut terjadi pada semua bangunan arsitektur di
Indonesia khususnya seperti di Pulau Sumatra,
Kalimantan Sulawesi dan di Nusatenggara Timur
pun demikian pula. Sedangkan untuk di pulau
Jawa tidak demikian konsep rumah panggung
hanya dikenal di daerah Jawa Barat, untuk Jawa
Tengah tidak demikian
Pada umumnya karya arsitektur bangunan di KONSEP BANGUNAN
Indonesia berupa konstruksi pangung kecuali di
Jawa tengah dan jawa timur hal tersebut

1. Konsep Arsitektur Nusantara identik dengan arsitektur Indonesia konsep rancangan pembangunan rumah/bangunan

modern perlu juga di kaji lebih dalam untuk mengetahui kelemahan dan kelebihannya. Kini di era abad 21 banyak
bangunan rumah , gedung perkantoran muapun bangunan komersil lainnya yang memasukkan unsur tradisional
masing – masing daerahnya

2. Konsep ruang dan konsep bangunan sudah tepat berkaitan dengan letak geogfafis Indonesia/ Nusantara karena
bentukkan atap tersebut sesuai dengan kondisi iklim .

3. Konsep Ornamen Tradisional pada Arsitektur merupakan pembauran dari seni klasik dan modern. Hasil karya atau
wujud dari pembauran tersebut tergantung dari sumber mana yang lebih kuat yang akan memberi kesan/corak yang

4. Konsep dan pemahaman tentang karakteristik bentuk bangunan dan ruang yang mengandung filosofi tinggi.

5. Konsep warna yang pada umumnya digunakan untuk bangunan tradisional saat ini masih banyak yang mengunakan
warna-warna yang sama, merah, hitam, putih, kuning walaupun saat ini banyak produk cat yang lain dan bukan
terbuat dari bahan alami, dan diharapkan sudah beralih pada value warna yang ada dengan intesitas, warna dan
