Pengertian Subjunctive:

Subjunctive adalah kata kerja yang di gunakan untuk

mengekspresikan sesuatu yang tidak ada atau tidak terjadi,
dapat berupa conditional (pengandaian), wish (harapan), as if
as though (yang berbeda dengan dan suggestion (saran),
Kata-kata yang digunakan dalam subjunctive adalah "wish'
kenyataan), requirements (kebutuhan),
(menginginkan/mengharap, as if atau as though (seolah-olah),
would rather (lebih suka). dan if only (jika/seandainya).
 Fungsi Subjunctive

-As iff/as though digunakan untuk menyatakan keadaan yang

tidak benar kenyataan atau faktanya.

-Wish, would rather dan if only digunakan untuk menyatakan

suatu harapan atau keinginan

Digunakan sebagai kalimat pengandaian yang mengacu pada
masa yang akan datang, faktanya juga dalam bentuk Simple future
Tense.

Rumusnya: subject 1+ wish+subject2+could/would+ verb 1

Example: - I wish You would to the party tonight

( Saya berharap Dia akan datang ke party malam ini)

Fact : He will not coe to the party tonght

Example:
-If only i could follow the tour to bali next month.
Fact :
I will not follow the tour to bali next month.
Example:
-If only she would come with me.
Fact :
She will not come with me
 PRESENT SUBJUNCTIVE
Digunakan untuk kalimat pengandaian yang mengacu pada masa sekarang.
Faktannya dalam bentuk Simple Present Tense .

Formula : subject 1+ wish+subject2+ verb 2/Ware

Example:

1. I wish I knew what to do

2. If only I didn’t have homework, I can sleep
Fact :
3. I don’t know what to do
4. I have homework, i can’t sleep

Kalimat pengandaian yang mengacu pada masa lampau jadi
faktannya juga dalam bentu masa lampau (simple past tens).
Formula:
i. Subject 1 + wised + subject 2 + had+verb 3 (been)
Example:
(my mother wished she had ironed the clothes last night)
Faktanya : she did not iron the clothes

ii. Subject 1 + verb 2 + as though + Subject 2 + had+verb 3(been)

Example :
She just passed in front of me as though she had never know me.

Fact : she knew me

iii. Subject 1 + would rather + Subject 2 + had+verb 3 (been)

Example :
Mr sam would rather that i had gone to class yesterday

iv. If only + subject + verb 3

Example:
If only she had helped me last night.
Fact :
She does not help me last night
