GAGAK YANG CEMBURU

Jauh, jauh di sana ada hutan pohon mangga yang teduh. Pada salah satu dari pepohonan
hijau tinggal seorang Cuckoo dan burung gagak. Mereka cukup mirip dalam penampilan. Kedua
burung itu berwarna hitam. Hanya burung gagak itu sedikit lebih besar. Cuckoo itu mau
meletakkan semua telur nya di sarang burung gagak. Untuk waktu yang cukup lama mereka
tinggal seperti teman baik. Cuckoo ini mempunyai suara yang manis dan seringkali dia
memenuhi hutan dengan melodi yang manis.
Suatu hari, seorang pengembara lewat. Malam yang jatuh dan ada gelap gulita di
sekelilingnya. Pengembara itu lelah. Sehingga ia memutuskan untuk menghabiskan Malam hari
di bawah pohon mangga yang besar di mana burung gagak dan Cuckoo tinggal.
Malam hari itu amat menyenangkan. Bulan purnama telah mencurahkan satunya kilauan
di langit. dengan menakutkan di sekitarnya membuat Cuckoo merasa sangat bahagia. Dia terus
bernyanyi sepanjang malam yang panjang dan pejalan kaki itu hanya terpesona oleh lagu manis
Cuckoo's.
Malam yang berlalu. Hari itu tiba. Sekarang giliran burung gagak untuk melihatnya.
Suaranya terdengar begitu keras kepada telinga sang pengembara segera meninggalkan tempat
tersebut. Ketika burung gagak melihat pengembara meninggalkan tempat itu, dengan kesal ia
merasa cemburu pada burung yang bersuara manis. Ketika Cuckoo telah pergi jauh untuk
mencari makanan burung gagak pergi ke sarang karena putus asa dan memecahkan semua telur,
ia melempar mereka.
Cuckoo itu, mengelilingi semua telur-nya hancur, marah bersama sedih. Dia pergi kepada
burung gagak dan berkata, "Oh saudara, kita selalu tinggal seperti sahabat. Apa yang
membuatmu memecahkan semua telur saya?"
"Yah kakak, ketika Anda bernyanyi, pengembara tidak diketahui tinggal sepanjang malam.
Ketika saya mulai cawing ia meninggalkan tempat itu. saya merasa tersinggung dan
memecahkan semua telur Anda. Sekarang mari kita berdua pergi ke pengembara dan bertanya
kepadanya mengapa dia berbuat demikian. "
Jadi kedua burung melemparkan dan membuang sampai mereka melihat pengembara.
Ketika burung gagak bertanya kepadanya, dia menjawab, "Aku terbawa oleh suara Cuckoo's
mempesona tapi suara Anda adalah dapat dikatakahan kasar. Jadi, aku meninggalkan tempat itu.
Tapi Anda berdua telah berteman lama, jadi anda harus selalu hidup harmonis. Anda tidak harus
merasa cemburu pada teman Anda. "
Kata pengembara yang menenangkan keduanya Cuckoo dan burung gagak. Setelah hari
itu mereka tinggal dengan damai.
Hanya dan seperti Kata dari seorang pengembara memusnahkan rasa kecemburuan pada
burung gagak persis sebagai suatu percikan sedikit air dingin yang menyelesaikan susu yang
mendidih.
 THE JEALOUS CROW

Far, far away there was a grove of shady mango trees. On one of the green trees there
lived a cuckoo and a crow. They were quite alike in appearance. Both the birds were black. Only
the crow was a little bigger. The cuckoo would lay all her eggs in the crow's nest. For quite
sometime they lived as good friends. The cuckoo had a sweet voice and often she would fill the
grove with her sweet melody.
One day, a traveler passed by. Night fell and there was darkness all around. The traveler
was tired. So he decided to spend the night under the huge mango tree on which the crow and the
cuckoo lived.
The night was exceedingly pleasant. Full moon was shedding her lone lustre in the sky.
The eerie surrounding made the cuckoo feel supremely happy. She kept singing the whole night
long and the passerby was simply captivated by cuckoo's sweet song.
Night passed. The day dawned. It was now the crow's turn to saw. His voice was so harsh
to the ears that the traveler soon left the place. When the crow saw the traveler leave the place, in
disgust he felt jealous of the sweet-voiced bird. When the cuckoo had gone away in search of
food the crow went to the nest in desperation and breaking all the eggs, he threw them down.
The cuckoo, surrounding all her eggs smashed, was mad with grief. She went to the crow
and said, "Oh brother, we had always lived like friends. What made you break all my eggs ?"
"Well sister, as you sang, the unknown traveler stayed the whole night. When I started cawing he
left the place. I felt insulted and broke all your eggs. Now let us both go to the traveler and ask
him why he did so."
So both the birds threw and threw till they spotted the traveler. When the crow asked him,
he replied, "I was carried away by the cuckoo's enchanting voice but your voice was intolerably
harsh. So, I left the place. But both of you have been old friends, so you should always live in
harmony. You should not feel jealous of your friend."
These words of the passerby pacified both cuckoo and the crow. After that day they lived
peacefully
The just and kind words of a traveler destroyed the ill feeling of jealousy in the crow just
as a sprinkling of a little cold water settles the boiling milk.
