DESKRIPSI SINGKAT MATA KULIAH

Mata kuliah English for Daily Usage (Bahasa Inggris 1 KA) bertujuan untuk
membekali mahasiswa program studi Keperawatan Anestesiologi dengan pengetahuan
Bahasa Inggris tingkat dasar tentang cara berkomunikasi sederhana sehari-hari serta dalam
seting praktik klinik. Materi perkuliahan berisi tentang istilah-istilah dan teks yang
tercangkup dalam tema: introducing yourself and others, part of speech and type of
questions, in and around hospital, health problems and the symptoms, medical equipment,
monitoring the patients, healthcare services and diagnosis, presentation, dan practice of
presentation about health science and service. Kegiatan pembelajaran meliputi kuliah tatap
muka/teori (online), diskusi, dan praktek kebahasaan. Penilaian dilaksanakan melalui tes
tertulis, tugas individu, dan praktek speaking baik secara individu (presentasi dan ceramah)
maupun secara kelompok (praktek dialog).

CAPAIAN PEMBELAJARAN
Setelah mengikuti proses pembelajaran diharapkan mahasiswa mampu :
1. Memberikan informasi pribadi dan memberikan informasi pribadi orang lain dalam
Bahasa Inggris
2. Mengenal dan memahami jenis-jenis kata dan kalimat dalam Bahasa Inggris
3. Mengenal dan memahami istilah-istilah medis atau kesehatan dalam bahasa Inggris
4. Memahami percakapan bahasa Inggris yang berkaitan dengan kesehatan atau medis.
5. Membaca dan memahami teks-teks kesehatan dalam bahasa Inggris.
6. Berkomunikasi secara lisan menggunakan bahasa Inggris tentang kesehatan, penyakit,
gejalanya, diagnosis, dan responnya.
7. Presentasi maupun memberikan ceramah dengan topik ilmu kesehatan menggunakan
Bahasa Inggris dengan menggunakan visual aid berupa slide presentasi.
