Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk menganalisis hasil kemampuan Menyusun struktur teks dan
kemampuan menggunakan ciri kebahasaan dalam menulis teks laporan hasil observasi siswa
kelas VII SMPN 1 Lilirilau. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian
deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Lilirilau Tahun
2021/2022 yang berjumlah 121 siswa yang tersebar dalam 4 kelas. Sampel yang ditetapkan
dalam penelitian ini yaitu sebesar 50% siswa dengan jumlah setelah perhitungan sampel
sebanyak 50 siswa dengan penarikan sampel menggunakan Teknik Cluster sampling dengan
pertimbangan objek yang diteliti terdiri dari beberapa tingkatan yang berbeda dalam hal ini
mempunyai beberpa kelas yang berbeda. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian
ini adalah berupa tugas menulis teks laporan hasil observasi yang dilakukan oleh siswa dengan
memperhatikan struktur teks dan ciri kebahasaan.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan
dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik unjuk kerja (menulis teks laporan hasil observasi). Teknik
Analisa data yang digunakan adalah menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil
penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 mampu dalam menulis teks
laporan hasil observasi berdasarkan struktur teks, hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan peroleh nilai
rata-rata sebesar 77,22 yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. (2) Siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1
Lilirilau mampu dalam menulis teks laporan hasil observasi berdasarkan ciri kebahasaan, hal
tersebut dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata sebesar 75,56 yang termasuk dalam kategori
yang tinggi. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi bahan evaluasi dan membantu siswa mengetahui
kemampuan pribadinya terkait menulis laporan hasil observasi dan sebelum melakukan
penelitian harus betul-betul mengenali karakter siswa yang akan menjadi responden agar peneliti
tidak mengalami kesulitan dalam melakukan penelitian.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the results of the ability to structure the text and
the ability to use linguistic features in writing the report text on the observations of the seventh
grade students of SMPN 1 Lilirilau. This type of research is quantitative with a descriptive
research design. The population of this research isare all grade VII students of SMPN 1 Lilirilau
in 2021/2022, totaling 121 students spread over 4 classes. The sample set in this study is 50%
students with the number after the sample calculation is 50 students with sampling using the
Cluster sampling technique with the consideration that the object under study consists of several
different levels in this case having several different classes. The research instrument used in this
study was the task of writing a text report on the results of observations carried out by students
by paying attention to the structure of the text and linguistic characteristics. The data collection
technique used in this study was a performance technique (writing the text of the observation
report). The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative statistical techniques.The
seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 are able to write the text of the observation report based
on the structure of the text, this is evidenced by the average score of 77.22 which is included in
the high category. (2) Grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Lilirilau are able to write the text of
the observation report based on linguistic characteristics, this is evidenced by the acquisition of
an average score of 75.56 which is included in the high category. The results of this study can be
used as evaluation material and help students determine their personal abilities related to writing
reports on observations and before conducting research, they must really recognize the character
of students who will become respondents so that researchers do not experience difficulties in
conducting research.
