Alokasi Waktu : 3 Minggu x 3 Jam Pelajaran @45 Menit

A. Kompetensi Inti
 KI-1 dan KI-2 : Menghayati dan mengamalkan ajaran agama yang dianutnya. Menghayati dan
mengamalkan perilaku jujur, disiplin, santun, peduli (gotong royong, kerjasama, toleran, damai),
bertanggung jawab, responsif, dan pro-aktif dalam berinteraksi secara efektif sesuai dengan perkembangan
anak di lingkungan, keluarga, sekolah, masyarakat dan lingkungan alam sekitar, bangsa, negara, kawasan

selamat dan pujian bersayap (extended) serta responnya.
• Memberikan ucapan selamat dan memuji bersayap (extended) dengan menggunakan struktur teks dan
unsur bahasa yang tepat sesuai dengan tujuan dan konteks penggunaan.
• Merespon ucapan selamat dan pujian bersayap (extended) dengan menggunakan struktur teks dan unsur
bahasa yang tepat sesuai dengan tujuan dan konteks penggunaan.

H. Langkah-Langkah Pembelajaran
Kegiatan Pendahuluan
• Melakukan salam pembuka, mengecek kesiapan belajar siswa, berdo’a, serta mengecek kehadiran
siswa
• Memberikan arahan dan petunjuk tentang proses pembelajaran yang akan dilaksanakan, baik sumber
belajar yang digunakan, media, hingga penugasan (evaluasi pembelajaran)
• Memberi motivasi belajar dengan memberikan gambaran tentang manfaat mempelajari pelajaran yang
akan dipelajari dalam kehidupan sehari-hari (ucapan selamat dan pujian bersayap (extended)).
• Menyampaikan tujuan pembelajaran serta kegiatan yang akan dilakukan selama proses pembelajaran
Kegiatan Inti
• Peserta dididk diberi motivasi dan panduan untuk melihat, mengamati, membaca dan menuliskannya
kembali. Mereka diberi tayangan dan bahan bacaan terkait materi (ucapan selamat dan pujian
bersayap (extended)).
• Guru memberikan kesempatan pada peserta didik untuk mengidentifikasi sebanyak mungkin hal yang
belum dipahami, dimulai dari pertanyaan faktual sampai ke pertanyaan yang bersifat hipotetik. Pertanyaan
ini harus tetap berkaitan dengan materi (ucapan selamat dan pujian bersayap (extended)).
• Peserta didik dibentuk dalam beberapa kelompok untuk mendiskusikan, mengumpulkan informasi,
mempresentasikan ulang, dan saling bertukar informasi mengenai (ucapan selamat dan pujian
bersayap (extended)).
• Peserta didik mempresentasikan hasil kerja kelompok atau individu secara klasikal, mengemukakan
pendapat atas presentasi yang dilakukan kemidian ditanggapi kembali oleh kelompok atau individu
yang mempresentasikan.
Kegiatan Penutup
• Guru memberikan umpan balik terhadap proses pembelajaran seperti : Well class, we have finished
learn How to compliment other people and to respon, How to congratulate other people and to
respon, How to make greeting cards to compliment and congratulate. You have done a good job
today. Is there anyone of you want to share what She/He learn today?
• Guru dan peserta didik membuat kesimpulan tentang hal-hal yang telah dipelajari terkait (How to
compliment other people and to respon, How to congratulate other people and to respon, How to
make greeting cards to compliment and congratulate . Peserta didik kemudian diberi kesempatan untuk
menanyakan kembali hal-hal yang belum dipahami.
• Memberikan tugas kepada peserta didik (PR), dan mengingatkan peserta didik untuk mempelajari
materi yang akan dibahas dipertemuan berikutnya
• Menyampaikan rencana pembelajaran pada pertemuan berikutnya

Task 1
Read text 1 carefully. Pay attention to the expressions used to congratulate people (in this case, Alif). Pay
attention also to the response.

Text 1
 After a long struggle and hard work, Alif is finally appointed as the director of a national company where
he works. Many of his friends who work at the same company congratulate him.
Samuel : Alif, congratulations. You deserved it, Man.
Alif : Thank you very much, this is because you always help me.
Sinta : I am very happy for you, Alif. Now, that you are the director of the company, I believe the
company will develop even faster.
Alif : (replies with a happy tones) Thank you. I cannot forget your collaboration with me, and I
will still need your help.

Other friends shake his hands and congratulate him too.

Deni : That’s wonderful, Alif.


Alif : Oh, Thanks.
Santi : Good for you. Good luck.
Alif : Thank you very much.
Bejo : Well done.
Alif : Thank you for saying so.
Ivan : That was great. You must be very proud of your achievement.
Alif : Thanks. I’m glad you think so. But I still have to learn a lot.

His staff also congratulate him.

They all celebrate alif’s success by having lunch together in a simple food stall next to their office. Every
body is happy.

 Compliment is an expression to appreciate or praise other people. Compliment is useful to give
encouragement so that people will keep on doing their best and even improve their performance.
When to express compliment :
 On daily basis,
 When someone has done his/her best,
 When you visit someone’s house for the first time,
 If you notice something new about someone’s appearance.

Simple Past Tense, Present Perfect Tense & Present Perfect Continuous Tense
 We use the Simple Past Tense for past events or actions which have no connection with the present.
 We use the Present Perfect Tense to say that an action happened at unspecified time before now.
The exact time is not important.
 You CANNOT use Present Perfect Tense with specific time expressions such as : yesterday, one
year ago, last week, when I was a child, when I lived in Japan, at the moment, that day, one day, etc.
 We CAN use Present Perfect Tense with unspecific expressions such as : ever, never, once, many
times, several times, before, so far, already, etc.
 We use the Present Perfect Continuous Tense to indicate an unfinished action that continues from
the past up to the future time.
 Both Present Perfect Tense and Present Perfect Continuous Tense are made up of the verb
“have/has” + Past Participle”. The time expressions used are for, since, before, etc.

Simple Past Tense


 Subject + Verb2 + Object + Adverb of (Specified) time

1. Finished actions :
 I knew Julie for 1o years (but then she moved away and we lost touch).
2. A fiinished action in someone’s life (when the person is dead).
 My Great-grandmather went to Mexico three times.
3. A finished action with NO result in the present :
 I lost my keys yesterday. It was terrible! (now there is no result. I got a new keys yesterday).
4. With a finished time word (last week, last month, yesterday):
 I saw Diana last week.
Present Perfect Tense
 Subject + have/has + Verb3 + O/Adverb of (Unspecified) time

1. Unfinished actions that started in the past and continue to the present :
 I’ve known Julie for 10 years (and I still know her).
2. A fiinished action in someone’s life (when the person is still alive : life experience):
 My brother has been to Mexico three times.
3. A finished action with a result in the present :
 I’ve lost my keys! (the result is that I can’t get into my house now).
4. With a unfinished time word (this week, this month, today) :
 I’ve seen Diana this week.

Present Perfect Continuous Tense


 Subject + have/has + Been + Verb-ing + O/Adverb

1. The people have been seeing the concert since two hours ago
2. Have you been waiting for the bus for more than an hour?

CARDINAL DAN ORDINAL NUMBER


 “cardinal number  is a whole number, for example 1, 2, 3 that shows quantity” (seluruh angka yang
menunjukan jumlah, contohnya 1, 2, 3, 4, … 100, dst.)
Contoh penggunaan cardinal number dalam kalimat:
1. I have 2 (two) bags (Saya mempunyai dua buah tas.)
2. You get 1 (one) glass / 2 (two) glasses (Kamu dapat satu/dua gelas.)
3. My mother gives me 4 (four) candies (Ibuku memberi empat permen padaku.)
 “ordinal number is a number that shows the order or position of something in a series: ‘First’, ‘second’,
and ‘third’ are ordinals” ( angka yang menunjukan urutan atau posisi dari suatu rangkaian. Contoh dari
ordinal number adalah 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, … 100th, dst.)
Contoh penggunaan ordinal number dalam kalimat:
1. You are the 1st (first) winner in that competition
(Kamu adalah pemenang pertama dalam kompetisi tersebut.)
2. February is 2nd (second) month in a year.
(Februari adalah bulan kedua dalam satu tahun.)
3. Cinema is on 3rd floor of Plaza Indonesia.
(Bioskop berada dilantai ketiga Plaza Indonesia.)
4. Who is 5th (fifth) group?
(Siapa yang merupakan kelompok kelima?)
5. Today is Monday, 28th of September 2015.
(Hari ini adalah hari Senin, tanggal dua delapan* September 2015)
Dalam pengucapan tanggal, biasanya langsung menyebutkan angka seperti 28th dibaca tanggal dua
delapan, jarang menyebutnya tanggal ke dua delapan.
