Pertalite and Pertamax have different octane. Pertalite has a research octane
number (RON) 90 while Pertamax is RON 92. This figure shows that the amount of
pressure that can be applied before spontaneous combustion. The high octane number
makes combustion more complete and leaves no residue. For vehicles that have high
compression, it is more suitable to use high octane fuel. So you just have to match
which fuel is right for the vehicle used.
The color of the liquid is one of the most basic differences because Pertalite and
Pertamax have different colors. Pertalite is usually bright green and clear while
Pertamax is bluish. The last difference between Pertalite and Pertamax is the price.
Pertalite has a cheaper price than Pertamax. That is one of the advantages of using
Pertalite.
Although the price of Pertamax is slightly more expensive, Pertamax has the
advantage of being able to clean and protect the engine with the PERTATEC
(Pertamina Technology) formula. The existence of PERTATEC can keep the engine
from rust and use more fuel efficiently. It should also be noted that the higher the
octane rating of a fuel, the higher the selling price.
